Truly her signature song. and ill sing once more considering what happened to her voice but because of the amazing the person she is and how honest she is, her fans didnt care, they show up for her anyway and she deserves all of the praise she gets. great performance

She's absolutely right when she says D.C. is the loneliest place for women of politicians. Being a world famous movie star.... I couldn't imagine what it was like for her to even remotely fit in. But, everyone has burdens to bare, her truth is what really matters and so she moved on!

I was never a fan of Barbara Walter's interviews, but you can tell they must have been friends and it's kind of refreshing to see Barbara just genuine and more natural.

I remember watching this when it first aired. As a fan of Susan Lucci, I was running around my apartment screaming YES! YES!YES! You Would have thought I had won the award. 😂 In true Lucci fashion, she showed grace and thoughtfulness in acknowledging her fellow nominees and coworkers. She’s such a class act and very deserving of this win! 👏🏼👏🏼

Hollywood doesn’t make actors/actresses like that anymore. Maybe because men/women of such sincere character are sadly a rarity today.

Julia Roberts always seemed so simple, always dressed simple, never caring too much, she was a regular girl of the late 80's and 90's. And today she looks so perfect, so rare, so precious. What a movie! I miss Olympia, she was great! And the other three ah ah they are artworks by themselves. The host does not really understand how much power there is in that room, so much that everyone of them answer any stupid question with a smile.

I so agree that this was a special era of tv! Both in the US and in Great Britain. My favorites were more in the “Spy Fi” genre, like Wild Wild West, The Avengers (Steed and Mrs Peel Super Agents, not the Marvel Universe), Doctor Who, Star Trek, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and so many others! Absolutely magical series that are amazing to this day. I also find it interesting that some of my absolute favorites were all B&W the first season or two and then moved to colour! The opening themes (The Avengers from Season 4 is exquisite!), title sequences (Doctor Who set a precedent for trippy visuals and a pounding eerie theme that is still used on the modern incarnation of the series (yes, it is still on tv today!), and pushing the envelope for the time (Star Trek’s multi racial crew apparently offended the bigoted tendencies of the day, kudos to Trek! It even had a <gasp> alien!). These shows were not only fantastic to watch, they also shaped our world and the future. In fact, I think I may watch an episode or two of The Avengers right now! :-)

Shirley Temple... My mothers name was Shirley. Born 1933. She could dance a lindy hop, sing, artistic, kept a lovely home, sunday school teacher and you were an influence on her life. She became active in Mental Health and NAMI in 1980. I know she had an incident with an older brother that she tried not to let influence her decisions like that crap wants to do. I cant imagine the deep strength of character, the deep down knowing who you are and whats right and wrong but... It was the Depression! America NEEDED her character! She did a lot in her life! Service to others was instilled in this generation and they made it look easy! Selfless .. grace personified. If she has kids checking comments sometimes, i want to say Thank You for her! Betty White as well. Something about the upbringing, the times, their personality... My favorite Aunt too. Knit, sew, cook, clean, decorate for holidays! I found the time to do maybe half of what they did .. no. Less than half. What they could do in four hours took me six and i didnt look as put together as these women did. Roslyn Carter. Nancy Reagan. She kept Ronnie on track and because of her, he was able to keep his dignity and appear more competent than he was. She had the schedual, the back room discussions, the laws, the staff... All in her head as shhe subtly held his mind and goals tight with her help. These are women that carried the country and its peoples, whether anyone believes it doesnt matter. Ladies, we all know a few classy mothers or grammas and aunts that were everything a husband, family, society and the times demanded of them. They volunteered to help communities! They even made time for their lives... Wish i had more of the genesequa they had.

That same year, a movie from my country Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 was released and nominated for the Oscar to the Best Foreign Language film. One of our most beloved actors, Mr Tommy Muñiz starred in the picture and was in attendance at The Ceremony. Mr Peck asked to meet Mr Muñiz and shaking his hand he said "I saw your movie, you are a great actor". To me that speaks volumes of Mr Peck's kindness and generosity.
