Would be cool to see how the 1994 Penske 500i pushrod-engined Indianapolis one-off car would do. Also the Bugatti Bolide might do well.

I was wondering if you alter the gearing to suite the track? Pretty sure that 1000hp+ Lotus would pull a few more KPH on the straights with higher gearing.

That 917/30 terrified me. I could feel the relative lack of grip going through the high-speed sections, and it looked like you would've virtually killed yourself if you had just given the slightest misinput. To think a car with that power/weight ratio was built in 1973; those Germans were crazy!

1991 had more areo than F1 but you need to remember group c had two set ups. Low drag for Le Mans and different areo for wscc. Ps fck F1 you took our group c because it was to big for F1. Now prototypes are coming back I love it. Aston martin with a V12, Cadillac and mustang with V8. V10 lambo

The Lotus 72 wasn’t the 1970 version of the car, it was at least 71 onwards, so it would have to go against the 71 long tail. I also find it hard to believe that the lotus could come close to a 917 with 600+hp vs 480 of the cosworth at the time. Not to mention at old spa in 1970, the 917 went around 9 seconds quicker than the formula 1 cars.
@DSW9646 күн бұрын
Agreed- Also there was a long tail in 70 so there’s that

Double thumbs up for the dedication in testing some 30 cars well enough to pull fast lap times in each. Can't begin to imagine how much time it took you to produce this great series (I'm still to watch the others but definitely plan to). Classic Le Mans really appeals to me, this 1955 version is neat. Are these free mods for AC? If so could you please provide link to this and the other versions, or point me in the direction where I could find them? I'm guessing Race Dept but any hints/links would be appreciated.

Size & weight. Simple. Ditch the hybrids, dust off the old V10s & bring back small, refuelable, featherweight cars on low-grip, bulletproof tires. And screw these “anti-dirty air” cars. They’ve barely done anything for the racing & have detracted from the skill of driving around dirty air. If the cars were smaller, you’d see people altering their lines much more to spend as little time as possible in dirty air to try and close the gap up to the car in front. Wouldn’t that be cool to have back again. And bring back the cinematic camerawork of the late ‘90s. Modern camerawork makes the cars look even worse than they already are, and that’s saying something.

The F1 cars most of them can go way faster than Le Mans cars in the Old Le Mans track, despite they have worse reliability than Le Mans cars.
@laplaceoperator134516 күн бұрын
Concerning the 1955 Record: Mercedes used almost the same car (W196) for Le Mans and F1. The Le Mans car also had bored and stroked cylinders plus the hood aerobrake so it should be faster than its F1 counterpart. Compare the Nürburgring Qualifying laptimes of Sportscar Championship and F1 Event and you see that the laptimes are almost identical.

@@fabulouscarcharts5467 mainly that drill-in-your-butt effect at high speeds Racers in real race cars are tightly secured with seat belts in the cockpit so their body is almost stationary and only head is moving But your head won't have that simplistic up and down effect with 0 absorption which is present in your NeckFX camera On bumps head should lean forwards and it shouldn't be so rapid, maybe with ever so slight up and down movements
