Team synergy isnt even that bad, mika at c6 is a crazy physical damage buffer, dori can help aloy burst support and apply superconduct, and xinyan can act as a physical main dps. The worst team would have 0 synergy lol

2021 NO DOUBT. The rewards were nice, Inazuma was beautiful. And the characters were fun and the story was deep. I actually quitted Genshin after the Inazuma arc when Sumeru was starting because compared to Inazuma. It was way more overwhelming to do the story quests and the dialogue train was just too much

Agreed. You quite literally HAD TO BE THERE to properly enjoy Inazuma. Sumeru era from 2022-2023 comes in close second for me, but that's moreso because Genshin felt more mature in that time (also Port Ormos BGM carries ngl)

Nah. 3.0 brought about the biggest and best changes to how the game felt. Sumeru made the game feel alive, and narratively Rukkhadevata had her existence retroactively deleted from the game was a mindfuck. Subterranean maps were also a giant boon for exploration. Introduction of dendro. The interaction of environment, vertical traversal... Like I can go on and on about how 3.0 changed the game. And your argument is characters? 🙄

I still think the Inazuma era was the best and most action packed. Fighting against an actual archon. I think the Sumeru era was a bit boring for me because of how good Inazuma was.

2021. no doubt. the players from launch still found it rewarding and fun to play, it wasn’t as overwhelming for new players, + the fandom wasn’t nearly as terrible as it is now (or atleast it didn’t have as bad of a reputation yet). people were generally chill and fun, co-op was booming. IMO genshin lost its spark when co-op became material farming. people are just quiet now, or super casually bigoted.
