Yeah sometimes it comes down to random spawns but I try to treat fort narith like different areas instead of one big objective. It's easier to deal with in chunks. But after dealing with Tiger Bay I will say that I actually like going to fort narith now haha

I'd say nariff once your familiar with the layout is an easier POI to clear, I'm absolutely petrified of blue lagoon and hate going alone lol the bushes move there

The problem at Blue Lagoon is that the AI has no problem blasting you through a bush with perfect accuracy, even if you change position. It's not a bad POI otherwise, but it does highlight the problem of the all-seeing hivemind AI

Respectfully, a point of order: these older jets weren't "simpler". Everything was analog and something that would be a compact solid state module today would be a clockwork nightmare to adjust and maintain. The biggest problem with the F-4 in service was maintenance hours per hour of flight. It was a huge transition to newer aircraft like the Hornet in terms of maintenance hours. It's the unsexy part of aviation we don't focus on, but it's where the rubber meets the road. It doesn't do any good to have zoomy aircraft if they can't fly and fight. Great video!

Great comment! Just to clarify my point, I meant that, unlike modern jets where everything is an exercise in memory with hotas controls (which is easy, don't get me wrong) with these old jets, you flipped some switches and did what you needed to do because the systems are much simpler and rudimentary. Modern aircraft systems work in specific contexts, older ones rely on the pilot. But the pilot workload is insane on these old birds - but that is what makes them so fun!

4K resolution in pancake, 80% native resolution on VR, everything is basically set to maximum settings except LOD - set off, heat blur and grass set to about 50%. And SSLR is off too.

That was a very good first flight of the F-4. My friends and I been flying this thing ever since it came out. It's a simple aircraft with alot to learn. Your constantly trimming ur aircraft to keep it smooth and in perfect formation with ur buddies. It handles like a muscle car without power steering. Tho once trimmed it's really easy to fly but once in combat it can be difficult to keep this beast under control and not go over the AOA. Still for a 3rd gen fighter able to do air to ground strikes just as well as any modern jet is a big sign on how good this old jet is, With ability to intercept and defend it's self even against some older 4th gens. In the cold war this aircraft was dominating the skies and terror for ground units, today in modern warfare it's still an decent long range interceptor and great ground strike aircraft. What limits this aircraft is it's BVR which is very poor but still has it's fox 1s and radar that will slap any other 3rd gen aircraft. Tho sadly this aircraft is starting to retire as counties are starting to move on like Japan who just retired their F-4s recently.

I like to just carry a seperate fully built upper receiver that has a 20” barrel and another upper receiver with 14” or 10.5” so I can just swap my upper receivers for when I want an SPR for long range or and SBR for close quarters.

What would you suggest? Keep in mind what I'm suggesting is not barrel length, that's up to the user. I like the 16" for being well rounded. I'm focusing on best well rounded attachments.

when doing tiger bay mall clearing I use the unsilenced 16" barrel with the 3 prong flash hider. 43% recoil. and you defo will want to have 60 rounders in the mall I tell you that..

I get having the big mags but they have a pretty big downside for reload time. Are you running a vertical forward grip to get that 43%? I'm curious because those also effect arm stamina drain. I prefer the AFG for its really good balance overall and huge arm stamina buff

The 20" barrel is non-negotiable as it increases the bullet velocity by over 20% (which equates to increased pen chance over range and is nearly twice as accurate as the 16"), which means you need to start by buying the $7k mk18 anyway. Also what are your thoughts on the QDSS NT4? (Btw pls put ear muffs on for future videos.)

I think the 16" is a nice compromise, especially if overall weight is a consideration. But yeah 100% agree the 20 is king for DMR use! I like the QDSS BUT you get better overall recoil reduction with the RC1 and SF3P mount and 1% less dispersion. Overall they're pretty similar though. And I was using GSSH-01 headset for the video, it's great but I understand it increases ambient volume, which is what you were hearing. Thanks for the input!

You can control the AI pilot with the George interface and give him commands, like in this instance to hold 0 airspeed and maintain altitude

It's very transparent in VR, I think it looks different because of the way I record and how it transposes it into full screen. But as far as settings go I basically run everything maxed out except for no depth of field and low heat blur, and I use DLSS

BUYER BE AWARE! There is still not a single word IF the F15E by razbam is further developed!! It is a month now since razbam instrumented its paying customers to fight something out with ED that should have been discussed internaly. ED is acting if nothing happened and razbam is on radio silence.

Just done this mission today, hit all the main targets, but definitely didn't do a good job with weapon employment, and had issues getting the TGP on target at times (either slaving to the wrong area, or just flat out refusing to snowplow so I can at least manually get it on). Also ended up blowing well past the bingo fuel, and got confused which tanker i should use, wasted more fuel, ended up routing direct to airfield at min rpm's and declaring an emergency, landed with 400lb of fuel. Thanks for this video, taken a lot of pointers away to improve myself for the next mission.

As for weapon employment, one take away from this video is to leverage the all weather aspect of the GBU-38(?) and staying well above the AAA cover.

Yeah, JDAMs give you some all weather standoff capability. You can really get some range on them too with enough speed and altitude!

Hey at least you made it back in one piece! You can use the HTS pod and the HAD page to zero in on an emitting radar, once you get within a half mile or so accuracy, you can use the TGP to find the target that way, it helps out a bunch since you don't have to go looking through a huge area to find one specific target.

No, it's a two part mission. Part one ends where you rendezvous with the tanker and part two picks up to relieve Sword 3. I did have to refuel in the previous mission, Recon, since we had to divert to Incirlik in Turkey.

Probably wouldn't but I'll see if I can throw something together! VR is so temperamental and it took a lot of tweaking to get my setup to work just right and I'm on a reverb g2 that has reached its end of life for support so it may not even apply for a lot of people.

Im so curious how you record your VR gameplay!? Everytime I try to record I only get a very narrow, single eye view that is quite shakey from all the subtle movements. Whats your magic?!

I use nVidia shadow play to record, and record my right eye. To mitigate shakiness, I use a stutter reduction setting in openxr that helps smooth it out so it's not so raw. Hope that helps!

That was the Wildest Wild Wiesel stuff i've ever seen! Taking on 2 SA-8's with guns while flying trough heavy AAA to protect a rescue operation, if this was IRL you would surely be getting a medal!

Boresighting is tough! And the pitiful resolution on the Mav sensor doesn't help, but what can ya do? Glad I'm not the only one that feels that pain haha
