Moral here - you don’t post a video of you breaking FAA rules..

Entertaining performance for sure! What...does the FAA hate FUN?! lol. Glad you didn't permanently lose the license over this.

Masterful! Don't see what they were so upset about. Looked like you know what you're doing up there. Hope it all turned out ok for you.

Winching… Yeah, it’s how I learned, here in UK, in open cockpit gliders too. Quite dramatic at first; even more so if you get a cable break in the steepest part of your climb out. As you’re already sitting back in the cockpit, when the cable breaks your mind screams that your ‘going over the top’; at least at first, ’till you get used to it 🤣Anyway, great fun 😎

Reminds me of Nurk’s fpv flight of the year. Once his video got traction, the feds clamped down on him with fines.

Yea you live and you learn. I don't think the FAA was being overly strict. Air shows used to be pretty dangerous events to attend. Since the rules and regulations inacted by the FAA there's been very few fatal accidents in air shows. I'm glad you got to keep your license! Happy flying!

That's an example of a high speed approach my friend .. Even a helicopter floats it it's got enough speed.... An real example would be 2 approaches at the same speed ... 1 bleeding airspeed off at 3ft the other at 50ft and compare the touchdown point on the runway..

So how exactly did he lose his license when he did exactly what they wanted him to? I've seen this video before and it's had different titles

Very fair questions. The airshow people asked me to perform. The FAA didn’t like what I did and said the airshow people did not have authority to grant me permission to fly.

If you're asking me that's the way to go, just me and my little stick..."Not in a racing mode no reason to go so...fast, strong winds....getting blown left and right...not sure if I can roll...tail back so I can control....fun stuff" 😇🙂

@randomguyinanglider3 күн бұрын
It’s a vario, it indicates when the glider is gaining energy when flying into lift like thermals or waves
@rexhargrove517218 күн бұрын
Aren’t you always loosing altitude? How can that be anything other than an incredibly stressful situation!?!
@BrunoVassel18 күн бұрын
Nope. Gliders can ride on uplifting currents of air and actually climb. That is why we can fly many hundreds of miles per flight. Watch the video and you will see me climbing.
@randomguyinanglider3 күн бұрын
In a glider you can gain altitude, we use thermals and other natural weather systems to fly thousands of kilometers without engine. Every beep that you here is a meter of altitude gained
