Geeze, I admire you. My Breville toaster has had this problem, but I ignored it until one side just stopped working... the little bread cages will not open on the left side... which has been playing its disco lights, partying at will, whenever it feels the music for years now. So, here I came to you. This is daunting to me. I can do some mechanical stuff, but everybody is saying this is challenging. I am not sure I am up to the challenge if it took you four hours. The Breville website is making my inquiry impossible as it wants the date I bought it and from where. I have no idea. But it is this very model. Does Breville take repairs? No real need to answer, as I will call their support number during regular business hours. However, it seems this is a glitchy model. Grrrrowl.

Ты занимаешься каким-то полным идиотизмом. Зачем разбирать полностью циферблат часов и вообще их доставать, если достаточно было просто пинцетом сверху открыть зажим, а не колупать его снизу. Не учитесь у этого "специалиста".

Great video and fix but one suggestion. Your camera angle is too far back and did not show anything of the front of the toaster with all the components you needed to remove to get at the switch. One of my "lifters" has fallen out due to someone forcing a bagel down and I think I'll need to remove everything you did to get at the part it attaches to.

I had another look at the Breville BTA840, and found one of the small 12v transformers was stuffed - primary wqas O/C. I bought a new one that would do the job (2840) locally for about $8. Trouble was, by then I'd taken it competely apart and it took a really long time to reassemble it. It now workks perfectly, and I was able to clean it thoroughly after its nearly 10 years' use.

I have a BTA840 toaster and one side simply stopped working. I took it apart, as you did, and it was not easy! I tried swapping modules to see if I could isolate the problem, cleaned and checked those microswitches and cleaned it up as best I could - no luck at all. In the end we bought a new one and I took all the parts, motors and electronics from the old one to use as spares, carefully marking which part came from the faulty side. It was obvious it wasn't intended to be dismantled - several of the screws were virtually inaccessible. I hope to use the parts if the new one goes wrong after 8 years, like this one.

The new model has updated parts - they no longer use the little transformers that sit at the back of the toaster, near the mains input. Instead, they use inverters, like the latest plug packs. I'm please to say that after I'd fixed ours, it's been working perfectly - the new one langushes in the draw next to it. I could have saved $200! You really have no choice but o try to repair it yourself - parts aren't available, and there is no 'service manual' for it. If it's a choice between the garbage bin and trying to fix it - take the latter. you might surprise yourself. And remember that the Chinese had to get those😊 difficult screws in somehow, and they're no better than we are.

For PS4 and above the console needs a hard drive with no partition, so in disk management just delete volumes that's it

Honestly i already changed cap on my ps3 fat. It work for a while, after i trying to update my software the RSX get hot n now it dead. I solve YLOD & now get GLOD. If u really want to repair PLEASE USE SYSCON first to get an error code so u can be sure where the problem came.

Is not a permanent fix tho, the new capacitors will fail again eventually, a friend of mine did the same thing to a PS3 fat and slim models, they only lasted like 3 months, plus you can kill your console for applying too much heat to the motherboard if you fix the same issue over and over again

I would also like to know. What is this driver called? I expand the video description above to see : Jakemy Screwdriver Set 99 in 1. I may just take the Dremel grinding wheel to a cheap screw driver and put a slot in it myself.

Reflowing the video ic doesn't make any sense. I'm curious as to why would you do that? Reflowing is a technique used to reform solder balls on BGA ICs, not on DFN, DFP, QFN etc. All a reflow is ever going to do in this situation is stress the chip even more. It needs replacing, not reflowing

I tried to do this but all it comes up is a little grey screen within a black screen. There are absolutely no words at all and both of my controllers refused to turn on and connect to the PlayStation 3 at all even after I reset them. Even if I had a touch screen TV I wouldn't be able to go to any of the settings in safe mode to make it restore anything or reset anything or anything. There are no words that come up at all. I even tried changing where the HDMI was hooked up to the TV I tried to unplug it for a while the PlayStation I even tried unplugging HDMI for a little bit and plug it back in and see if it would try to reset that too no matter what I do there are no words at all. On the screen no thing like usually it'll say that it's shut down improperly or something when I unplug it for a while that didn't pop up either so there's no words on the screen there's no way for me to touch any words even if there were words because it won't hook up with anything I seriously need help because none of these have helped me I tried doing a hard and soft reset with the power buttons and stuff and unplugging and everything and no matter what I do nothing is working at all. It's very upsetting very frustrating I tried banging the PlayStation a little bit not too hard obviously I tried shaking it I tried blowing in every little hole trying to get a little bit of dust out if that was the problem there was an issue with that outlet at one point where for you plug it into the wall it was a little corroded around the metal that plugs into the wall and the PlayStation to turn the power on I clean that all up make sure it was dry and everything so it finally has power cuz for a little while he wouldn't turn on there was no red light or anything but thankfully it was just that issue the power cord I fixed it so now it's turning on but there is nothing and on top of all that where all these videos say that they're supposed to be beeps when the PS3 turns on and off and everything to make you go into safe mode and reset it and whatever there's no noises no beeps at all. I just held it down for as long as I could multiple times until it finally came up instead of being completely black screen to a black screen with a big gray screen in the middle so should be technically it is in safe mode so I can you know do all the steps that you can take to try to fix it but there's absolutely no words on the screen so basically no menu even if my PlayStation 3 controller would turn on and hook up to the PlayStation they would be useless because I cannot move anything I cannot touch anything there's nothing to touch there's no words I hope and pray that somebody knows what's wrong with it and they can help me I really need help I'm begging you please.
