Look at this, look at all the other videos showing guys in sandals melting iron and repairing things. It's common in Asia to do it this way and they don't give a crap. That's how you ruin nature.

None of what they did to make that repair would be legal in the US. You would have to replace that entire section of boom with either new or used. I like the rubber glove the "welder" is wearing on his left hand.
