I have a rule that any channel posting a video with a red arrow in the thumbnail gets an immediate "don't recommend channel". I will give you a pass on this occasion as I know this is an interesting channel. But please, if you point to the only thing in the thumbnail with a red arrow, it means you think I am incredibly stupid. Please stop doing it. I'm not stupid.

I’m skeptical, I saw them live and Don missed some notes and had his voice crack. Also, the show is close up shots of their face constantly, which would make it difficult to always be synced up. Deacon and Vince were definitely singing live (and sung most of the songs) If this guy is right (skeptical) then is it really a huge deal? There are young pop stars who exclusively do this and Don who actually has talent is almost 80, give the guy a break he’s been doing this before y’all were born.

I watched them live, and Tom's voice is just pure perfection! Best British singer nowadays, in my opinion.

The sound is pretty good for a bootleg video, but just imagine how that sounded if you were there. The best version of this song apart from the original that I've ever heard(sorry Prince). Gary's main influence as a player was Eric Clapton from the Bluesbreakers and Cream eras. And that's why he fits this song so well-plus add in the fact they are at the Royal Albert Hall where Cream's farewell concert was filmed. Had to be a bucket-list moment for Gary to be playing that song at that venue with George & Ringo. Just amazing💫.

The imperfections of a natural voice contribute to making it enjoyable to the human ear.

Many years ago, VH1 had a show called Storytellers with singer/songwriters talking about the songs they wrote and then performing in front of a live audience. There’s an episode with someone I consider an amazing singer, Bonnie Raitt. I’ve seen her live multiple times and she’s astonishingly good. I don’t think they do anything to her recorded vocals, either. She’s just terrific. Anyway, she does a lead in to Nick of Time and then the musical intro and then she opens her mouth and out comes THE WRONG NOTE. She starts laughing and says, “And that’s how you know I don’t lipsynch or use any other tricks. From the top…” And then she sings like an angel, a beautiful rendition.

Thanks Fil, of course I like Elvis, but I have always like Terry Stafford's version of this song. I enjoyed this. :)

The big question is - do you go to see 'the band' or 'the performance'? If youre going to see the band, the 'authenticity ' of the performance may not matter. If you're going to see a performance then yes, you'd expect to hear the band, live, doing their thing warts and all. Support live music everyone, go to local gigs with local bands!

Band Maid sing in Japanese but intersperse their songs with the occasional phrase in broken English, but who cares? With their brand of full-tilt balls to the wall hard rock, who needs lyrics in English? Back in the late '80s/early '90s bands like Ligabue and Litfiba in Italy and Heroes del Silencio in Spain were wiping the floor with most of the over-produced American and British big hair stadium rockers whose answer to everything was more gain to cover up their lack of imagination. More power to Band Maid for breaking the girls are delicate little flowers stereotype.

His voice is beautiful. Something sad within. I remember when I first heard Silenced by the Night. I was driving and it was just after my son had died from an overdose. I burst into tears bc it struck such a chord. The pain we were experiencing involved much more than the addiction my son succumbed to. The song will always be powerfully emotional and as beautiful as it is, impossible to listen to. Not to be a downer, but I think it is important for all of us to be able to express how music affects us.

Maybe this is why the song “Fancy” sounds so awful to me? The pitches are correct but they sound bad even when they *should* match and blend! It’s puzzled me for years how it sounds perfectly fine when I sing along with just the instruments but the actual track sounds out of tune.

Tina recently put out 3 songs with her band SPIN TWICE. Tina, Mateo Mancuso and El Estepario Siberiano, a drummer, are a new breed of virtuosos that none of the musicians of a decade ago can match.
