It’s funny that you assume that she is in the crate “all day and night”. You clearly haven’t had a dog because if you had you might understand that puppies need to be supervised inside. We play with her and train her every day but sometimes she has to go in her crate because we are busy and it is too hot outside for her.

@@DudeitsDavid I’m a dog trainer and breeder, have been doing it for 20 years and by her age she should be potty trained and training should have already been started. And yes supervision is a must with puppies, which you cannot do if you keep her in a crate and shed all by herself. I understand having a crate when you are busy and it’s hot outside but having a separate house for your dog to be in ALL day by herself is not training and will reinforce bad behaviors as well as no socialization which is a dogs constant need. If you want to crate train a dog inside of your house where it’s a nice environment and stimulation is provided I’d completely understand. But throwing a dog in a crate and in a room alone is just not how you treat a dog if you want it, and all the responsibilities that come along with dog ownership. Dogs need to explore their environment from an early age especially a Bernese mountain dog that can reek havoc if not correctly socialized. You can obviously see from this video that, that tiny shed is where that dog lives most of its days, when it deserves a huge environment, lots and lots of love and care that you are obviously not willing to give. I’ve seen a lot of dogs given up when they reach adulthood because of idiots like you who think they know everything.

And when your puppy grows up and if you actually decide, hey let’s bring her inside I cannot wait to see you complain about how she tears up every piece of furniture and has no idea what being inside a home is like, and ends up pissing and shitting everywhere because again, she will have no idea what it’s like to be inside a house. Don’t get a dog if you cannot provide the right environment for said dog, like if you’re too busy and she stays locked in a empty shed for her whole life.

She’s a puppy that will destroy things if she gets bored.. and she is out of the crate most of the day!

She is not caged up all the time. She is usually out playing but when it is 100+ degrees outside she needs the air conditioning! We also take her on walks every day.

She is only in the crate in the hottest part of the day because we have an air conditioner out there for her! We walk her and play with her every day.😁

Probably because you don't have one. They don't stay in the cage, only at night or when I need to go out.

She needs the air conditioning in the room. and because she is a puppy she would trash the room if she wasn’t in the crate…

It's an owner that hasn't bought a bigger cage yet or because a dog doesn't need a huge crate since crates are meant for rest and not play
