Why was the lead guitarist the only one singing C-O-N CONTROL at the end????? The bassist and drumming should have been right there with him screaming that out with the audience!! That’s the orgasmic climax of that phenomenal song! And, BTW, tremendous cover! You did them justice.

There's not one song by The Clash I don't like, all of them are amazing!🎸🎸 I really like this song, but it must have been difficult to get together as it's probably the calmest song Joe Strummer has sang, normally he's full of energy on stage and sings with power and aggression. What an icon

Thank you so much, mate, and great question. The rhythm guitar tone is a custom-made all genuine fender parts telecaster, hand relic’d buy an incredible guitar maker in Kent. For a custom touch, it has a four-way telecaster switch, and an S1 switch identical to what you find in the fender Baja telecaster. it achieves a humbucker kind of tone, and is very high output. From there it goes directly into a Boss TU3 Tuner, and then into a blackstar HT 20 club head and nothing else. There will be a video at some point in the not too distant future detailing at length both the build of the Guitar, and the tone achieved through the amp so be sure to look out for that.

Thank you Richard, we put a lot of effort to get this song right as most tribute bands tend not to touch it. It has to be done though in our opinion, and that’s why we have played it at every single gig we have done bar one

As a Clash fan from back in the day first of all thank the actual f**k for a relatively young tribute band. Not only are the aesthetics (central to the original group's overall mojo) far more convincing and appealing than the usual greying / balding efforts, but the energy other level. Beyond that this is musically absolutely brilliant, it completely captures the feel of Strummer and co at their peak. Have not listened to the whole set yet (felt compelled to comment immediately ) but already can say that this version of 'Last Gang in Town' actually betters the one The Clash recorded on Give Em Enough Rope. Absolutely superb, and at a moral level 'Rock Against Hate' indeed... PS having listened further on 'White Riot' (both the original and this recreation) is a visceral musical rush, but ideologically highly dubious - in reality there is no such thing as 'white' and 'black' and it contradicts the whole anti-hatred and violence vibe. However one miss-step does not negate an overall hugely positive package.

@@deathorgloryclashtribute Sure thing and thank you so much for helping keep The Clash music alive. The Menzingers cover of Straight To Hell may be my favorite cover by anyone of any song. It's that good. That took a different approach by reworking the arrangement highlighting the punk elements and it's so good. They seem to have found melodies in the song that I hadn't heard before. I also love your version which is more faithful to the original Clash version. So good as well. Such a great song and remains meaningful 42 years later.
