Hi! How would you move from paragraph writing towards 3-5 paragraph essays?

Is the exemplar included in your ELA package? That's the only thing I'm worried about! Otherwise I'm ready to buy!

Hi 👋🏻 My notebooks include the full notebook in exemplar format! 👌🏻

Does your resource come with plans for how to teach each outcome? Or is it just the cut outs and we create a lesson for it?
@3peaksclassroom24 күн бұрын
I don’t give specific lessons in the resource, but I do share a lot here on KZfaq and on my Instagram channel on how I might approach the lesson.

This is a great one to start with, then you can watch Phonemic Awareness activities, then into Phonics Activities

In the title of the video you state grade 3-6. How would you extend this to grade 6? Would you still use a writing notebook and cut and paste graphics?
@3peaksclassroomАй бұрын
I will actually be developing a grade 6 version - right now, since that would be all that I would have available, I would absolutely still create these with cut and paste activities, but in the future, I plan on creating printable handouts that the kids can fill in and colour.

How many mistakes do they have to make in a section for you to decide that's the place to start?
@3peaksclassroom2 ай бұрын
It’s explained in my free screener - it depends on the section. Some sections are smaller, so just 1 or 2 errors, some sections are larger so 2-3 errors

I love the idea of creating stations for multiple subjects! I think it also helps students to be more independent and accountable. As a first year teacher, my biggest struggle is classroom management and I have a wide range of learners. I like that stations give the ability to meet different learning styles but I was wondering what you would recommend for students who are working below grade level (minimum 2 years) and/or students that have learning disabilities?
@3peaksclassroom2 ай бұрын
Students that are working 2 years or below grade level will be on adapted programming, so it will mimic what you already do for the rest of the subjects. You will likely have to provide accommodations of some kind (aka - if they can’t read instructions, maybe pair them with someone who can. If they can’t write, allow them the opportunity to complete their assignment digitally or with a scribe, etc). Same goes with learning disabilities (this is a wide range of course so it depends if you have an EA or TABT to support you).

Hi Maryann could you , do you have suggestions for teaching second language learners gr4? Do you have a version for the UAE as students do not have similar background knowledge.
@3peaksclassroom3 ай бұрын
Hi there! Teaching second language learners is my current teaching position actually. I don’t have an ESL version sorry. These units would have to be tailored to the local curriculum you have - but I would bet that many of these units (like grammar, phonics, descriptive writing, etc) will still apply to ESL students :)
