Good to know. I'd use an insulated sleeping pad and a zero or -15 degree sleeping bag with a good liner and an inflatable down pillow with a sleeping mask and noise cancelling ear protection.

People unto 2 meters have space, the bed is 194 cm, but, by tilting the seats up more you create a gap over the frontal supported area so you pillow is interlocked by the 10-15 gap on the backside of the front seats, this makes the bed effectively 205-210 cm long!

Ventilation with Camp Mode is excellent. You can adjust the fan speed from 1-10 on the APP and choose to get fresh air from outside or inside. Tesla also have a setting to vent windows, but I prefer not to use that so bugs can't enter. To keep energy consumption low, I often use it on speed 1-2, this consumes anything from 25-40 km of range over 8-10 hours. Tesla cars have 400-620 km range depending on model. Car camping lets you explore nature in a type of comfort that traditional camping can't provide. With DreamCase the car becomes a luxurious pod house on wheels. It is perfect for road trip adventures & weekend-short trips.

Yes the bed itself is 195 cm, but since it has the frontal support system, and by moving the front seats tilted up a bit more, you can make a 10-15 cm gap, and the pillows are jammed in place there making the bed effectively 205/210 cm long. We have customers who are 203 cm who use their DreamCase. Even two of our employees are 201 & 203 long guys! Please note that this version in the video is the old version. Camp Mode consumption varies greatly from mainly 4 key factors: temperature, insulation, fan speed & battery size. Many people set the fan speed too high. Do not use LOW, MEDIUM etc, but go to settings, turn off auto so you can set it on 1-2-3 speed. Consumption for 8 hours sleep ranges from 25 km in normal temperature on fan speed 1 to 60-70 km on smaller battery models, in hot or cold weather, fan speed 3. Typically I often see consumption of 45 km after a night. We have also tested in extreme cold weather -20, totally comfortable to sleep, especially with WindowBlinds that insulate windows, makes a huge difference!

DreamCase comes in 4 sizes, please go to www.dreamcase.eu and select your car, then in the information in the bottom at the check out on each product is the size of each beds. Now with the Gen3 type they come with wings on each side, so the top part of the mattress is around 130 cm wide, but the general mattress is 92 / 106 cm wide depending on size. In the video is a Large 98cm / 128 cm mattress.

I just got done doing my first trip in my 2015 Model S, using a Nemo Roamer Double mattress that didn’t quiiiiite fit, but it was good enough for a first attempt. Definitely made me want one of these. The price made me a little nauseous at first, but once you factor in the case, the covers, and all that, it’s really not so bad. I may have to order one for my birthday lol

The end result looks cool, but it's a bit much to get the car completely blocked off. Also, more importantly, the type of people who would peep into another person's vehicle while they're sleeping in there are the same type who wouldn't think twice about removing and maybe even stealing your outside magnets if for no other reason than to inconvenience you.

195 cm, but it extends to 210 cm by keeping pillows up against the backside of the front seats. This bed has an adjustable frontal support system that keeps the bed supported in the upper part. Please see pictures on website for Tesla Model Y as the product has developed & improved since this video was shot. It still uses the Platform bed case for Rang Rover, but this has also been improved.

I have an Audi A7 Sportback which is very similar, but has a smooth transition when the back seats are down. Going to use a Tensor air mattress and sleeping bag on one side and then have room for all my gear. Doing a US road trip from the East Coast to Texas to see the total solar eclipse in April 2024.
