Nice steelbook. For some reason my pre-order didn’t make it and now the supplier says 9 weeks lead-time (I live in France). I hear the Second Sight previous version is superior in darker scenes.

Not really, I have to older projectpopart blu ray steelbook. Still would like this though, I like collecting different artwork and extras regardless of whether or not I already have the film. Also it's a good way for interested buyers to see the goods.

A lovely 4k steelbook of Drive with nice artwork on the outside and inside as well very nice. Glad it came all the way from America without no damage apart from the closing of the steelbook which might have been affected.

It's better as Fidelity in Motion encoded the Second Sight release, which is superior than any of the other encoding teams. If you have the UK release, it is best to wait on sale.

I saw Desperado in the theater when it was released. In San Antonio, Texas, where I grew up. I was in High School, 17 years old. Saw it with my good friend who passed away about 10 years later. Great memories.

Finally a UK 4k release but very annoying that the “labyrinth” documentary and the Demme, Hopkins, Foster commentary are absent. So 2024 and still no definitive release of this classic.

Now that I see there’s an age rating on the exclusive version slip, I’m glad I went with the regular one now, which doesn’t and was cheaper. I also like to reverse Arrow covers to see the original art which are also void of age ratings and prefer the slip/box cover to be different than what’s inside. Great that Arrow has ditched the awful J-cards too. Pleased to have this one which I’ll be viewing tomorrow night.

A lovely 4k limited edition set of The Silence of the Lambs which I had on order but cancelled as I will get the standard 4k version later on when they release it. Nice artwork on slipcover and key case too good extras as well. I love this thriller it's one of the best.

A lot of people complained about the colour space of KL Lorber transfer. This one seems to be getting solid reviews. I have but not watched yet.

apparently the colour space was off on the start of the link release. I’d imagine arrow would have sorted that out.

@@htershane The Arrow 4K and the Kino 4K have completely different colour grades. The Arrow 2.0 audio is superior too. The Arrow is the definitive version.

Lots of reports that there are issues with the HDR in first 20 minutes with colour timing completely off. Think I'll wait and see what Arrow say. I do have DV player but don't want to pay £30 for a duff disc

The arrow release fixed those problems, they did restoration fixes from the kino transfer

Why did they change the size of the slipbox ? 😢 I’ve noticed that on their recent release Crimson Peaks 4K, I thought it was only because this edition is different from the usual ones (they made kind of a book style boxset instead of the usual slipcase) but apparently it wasn’t an exception. That’s annoying, my arrow collection needs to be at the same height in my 4K shelve otherwise my perfectionist nature is going to make me not buying the next arrow release for this stupid reason 😂

Feel like I need this in my collection. I love desperado , one of my favourites I can watch many times. Once upon a time is ok, the thing that bothered me is a lower age rating and holding back on the violence in terms of blood etc, puffs of smoke blasting out of people isn't as good as the blood sprays from desperado haha. Personal preference.

As always, great presentation, thank you! Nice box-set by Arrow video. 👍Was a big fan of El Mariachi and Desperado back in the day. I had the US LaserDiscs of them by Sony. Never really liked Once Upon a Time in Mexico. When Arrow announced this set I revisited the old Blu-ray set (the one you have) and I have to admit I immediately decided that I don’t need the upgrade. El Mariachi still is an interesting piece of no budget cinema, especially with the old commentary by Robert Rodriguez but it is -for my taste at least- lacking in entertainment value, simply because of is massive limitations. Desperado has great action sequences, some superb dialogue and, of course, Banderas and Hayek. Once Upon a Time in Mexico is IMHO mostly boring, the action is stupid, continuity is non existent and, finally, the acting is horrendously bad. Banderas is OK but tired, Depp, at least in some instances quirky. All three show Rodriguez‘ lack of story telling prowess and the scripts are sketchy at best. Fun fact: Adjusted for inflation budgets would be today like this - El Mariachi 16 thousand, Desperado 14.5 million and Once Upon a Time in Mexico close to 50 million US$.

What a lovely 4k limited edition steelbook of Blade Runner The Final Cut I love this film it is one of my all time favourites really good. I love the artwork on the outside and the inside artwork is great too, really nice.

This film is the grail and no matter the collectors edition release a collector is always looking with anxiety to put his hands on. Agree, this is a stunning steel book. Quality is unmatched and the artwork both inside and outside is superb. Mine will be delivered soon to put together with the collectors edition first release from Film Vault. Thanks for the unboxing, nice video as always

They are printed on the clear slipcover. They are non removable.
