Cookie kneewa that low is a crime. He's clearly not the best as far as winning tournaments, but he has beaten both ma long and xu xin and bro is so casual and nonchalant and fun to watch

For me ,it is hard to say that who is the goat between Ma Long and Zhang jike in new era .Ma long achieves more because he has more opportunities to play in major tournaments .Zhang jike has few opportunities to participate in big games.But every time Zjk participates in major tournaments, he just won it from 2011 to 2014 .Btw, Zjk doesn’t not participate in World Cup in 2012 and in 2013 and some of the continental tournament during his peak as his coach don’t let him play, Zjk totally got mistreated . ZJK IS A TRUE LEAGEND and big game player , in 2011, it is his first time to participate in WTTC men single and he just won it. I can confirm that nobody can do it besides Zjk . Let’s count how many times Ma Long and Zjk participate in WTTC men single throughout their career .Ma Long ( 8 times ),but Zjk ( only 4 times😢 )still got 2 gold medals and won against Xu Xin (4:0) in semifinal in 2013 .Also, let’s count how many times Ma Long and Zjk participate in World Cup . Ma Long (8 times), Zjk (only 3 freaking times😢 )but he still got 2 gold medals and managed to win against Ma Long in 2014 . 🎉I can say that nobody can achieve this incredible level with such few chance to participate in major tournaments .My English is not that good 😂Hope you all can understand what I wrote.

I know a player in my club who has played with dignics05 on backhand and it was a rocket. Very deadly. But I heard its not good for pushes close to the net.
@z0uLess15 күн бұрын
As an adult beginner (2 years) that has focused a lot on developing technique to start with, I can say that your forehand has almost no thrust from the hip, and that this is probably the main issue, but its really hard to start to develop this habit, so I say just get good at what you do since you have a good armswing and this is a plus.
@VladTableTennis15 күн бұрын
I know that, but since my injuries, I cannot use my hips and knees as much. But when we get healthier, of course

Great stuff Vlad! I enjoy these commentaries. About your forehand: I can't believe I'm trying to give someone of your level advice, but it seems like rely too much of your arm to do the work, especially in the faster rallies. And if you are using a rubber like D09C and you aren't getting your weight into your forehand then your shots will lack quality. You might already be aware of this, and maybe it has to do with your movement around your knee. But if this is the way you have been playing forehand all your life (like you said in the video then), maybe consider D05 on your forehand as well. It might just fit your playstyle a bit better with you being a more backhand oriented player and to have a forehand rubber that does a bit of the work for you.
@VladTableTennis18 күн бұрын
That’s a solid advice! What I was thinking is boosting 09C to help me out with it. Because it’s tackiness really helped my short game, I don’t want to sacrifice that!

Well played, you looked so tired at the end man and the players you were against were so strong, really entertaining video and educational video for me. I like how the last guy didnt necessarily flick anything really hard but good spin and placement was enough to neutralise your serve advantage and get in his fh on the next ball. Often i go too hard ans gice away lots lf cheap points, thanks for sharing!
@VladTableTennis18 күн бұрын
Thanks! I’m glad this video helped you out!
@jonathanrauhut305418 күн бұрын
in my opinion you take your safety on the forhand away, when you go too much for forhand flip(cause on forhand flip everybody makes more mistakes). You need to make 2 steps and play backhand flick on his serves and only play forhand flick, when the serve comes wide out in the forhand, and then it is easier to flip.
@VladTableTennis18 күн бұрын
I know, but also, I’m so used to how my knees are conditioned now lol But when it is needed to, as you saw, I saved backhand flips for the last game

why doesn't matthew (canadian national team guy) use very spinny serves? I mean he definitely can but what sort of advantage would it provide over using a spinny serve
@jonathanrauhut305418 күн бұрын
tactic: vlad could use his spin against him, cause he has better feeling on the ball
@VladTableTennis18 күн бұрын
This just his playing style, or maybe those serves feel to me like they are not that spiny! Could be how I view it honestly. But in my practice, those no spin serves are actually quite tough to return, especially if your opponent is looking to attack hard
@perthpongtt18 күн бұрын
I think if it's low, and there is still variation, it's still hard to return. Against some players that aren't that good at receiving, I prefer to give less spin, to give me an advantage on the 3rd ball attack - if it's less spinny, you don't have to work as hard for the 3rd ball, and sometimes there's a higher chance the ball will pop up high. But anyway, I'm not playing the caliber of ppl as in this video.

Those scandals like drug abuse or gambling are almost not problems in US or Europa, but can ruin a national hero in China. It's different. As long as he didn't manupliate his own games for gambling, he is still TT hero. And he meant a lot in world TT.
