You do you, but…… and this coming from a gunsmith, you are NOT to shoot singers in a match chamber. You are ruining your barrel. A Stingers has a longer case than a standard LR. So you are jamming that case up into the rifling. I do r care what groups you are getting you are shortening the life of that barrel very quickly. Find another ammo.

Nice shooting and thanks for the video! STKO, what is the right "time" that you refer to, as in what are the conditions that you're looking for? Is it a certain temperature, humidity, etc? I know you said its around 8pm, but is that 8pm year round that it shoots well? (I'm guessing you're going for a certain temp/humidity factor, but just wondering what you've found to be the best).

I’ve always wondered why Ruger wouldn’t develop a true match rifle! All the money that being made by other companies, just using the number 10-22? Appreciate the advice, and effort!

Love CCI SV. The best thing about it is you can use it in almost anything with a suppressor and get great sound reduction too. Nice video!

Your rifle simply likes CCI standard better than Lapua. It might like Eley Tenex even better, who knows. It’s also only at 50 yards. I absolutely love CCI standard because basically it’s CCI Green tag that didn’t make the tolerance specs. That’s why it shoots so well. All of my guns love it. My full Volquartsen build 10/22 shoots under a 1/2 moa @ 100 yards. CCI SV or even Green Tag simply isn’t made well enough to match that. Thanks for the video.

Thanks but it varies day to day, Lapua and CCI I would say tied but if its too dry or humid Lapua beats CCI cause i have the calculations to back it up thats why purposely made the video showing this...and being some what of a ballistician myself , I've studied alot of manufacturing processes, bullets, powders and barrels ...and for a Factory Ruger 1022 barrel doing this is insane not to mention my match results with Lapua hitting 2100s in ARA Factory class against bolt guns

Yes they will shoot well, I have one of the first models, but you can not free float the barrel, must have forward pressure or the action will bend

I was accidentally shot by a .22 Air gun pellet at around 40 yards. It hit me on my elbow and I was wearing a very thick military jacket (which it didn't penetrate). It felt like someone hit me on the elbow with a hammer. So no, I do not want to get shot with any ammo thanks.

I had a brand new 22 stirling quite a few years back..like 40 yrs ago.i started using aguila ammo as it was the cheapest at the time in NZ..turned out the stirling loved this brand and i cld practically key hole shots even with open sights. None of the other brands came close to it..

I was thinking of cutting a notch in the stock so the action would slide out with the safety in place, but I discovered the notch would have to go full depth of the stock. Cancelled that idea.

It’s a horrible scope, but it’s reliable. It surprisingly stays accurate for a long time, I’ve put down many groundhogs with that scope on a .22 long rifle. Really good for the price. But still a really low quality scope 😂

your right a lot of guns can be finicky with different types of ammo i got a Taurus g2c that that thing iv shot the nasties' rang steel cased ammo in it and i had zero issue with that or any hallow points but but my g2c 9mm hates fiocchi ammunition and mag pro g2c magazine will not work in it iv had a few high points over the years in the c9 and the 380 and the 40 i like there 40 jcp model i got it now i never had any issue feed it brass ammo with fmj may a few nose dives hear and there with a doable feed agian i wouldn't never carry a high point but i like them for a good fun rang gun my c9 and jcp 40 have issue feed hallow points from time to time with wide lip hallow point i polished the feed ramp on the gun and problem gone and i tried pro mag mags in my c9 they will never work right in my c9 if you don't want issues with this gun stick to the og high point mags i like them and will buy the bigger cals of high points only on the count 10mm or 40 and 45 acp in any other brand will cost you a arm and a let and the bigger calibers of high points are great for lets say your into hiking of camping or like me your walking miles in the mountains into bear and puma country to fish for native trout or hunting for wild mushroom or ginseng in some case its better to have a big old high point like dat in stead of bear spray because if the wilds not right when you spray a bear your not just messing him up you will get sprayed to it happed to me i ran a bear off but i got disoriented and had to stay there for hours suffering with out water to wash my eyes out if i had a gun i could of shot in the air to scar the bear off or shoot it with out messing my self up great video i do love my 40 s&w in the high point its been a great gun

I think the responses from Element are spot-on. OP claims he understands how things work, but it's obvious that one of two things are happening. Either 1) OP failed to use a ballistic calculator pre-purchase to realize he's buying a scope that doesn't have enough elevation travel for this mounting height, or 2) the scope is not symmetric, where he should have taken Element's offer to get it inspected.

Another quicker way surely would be to draw some lines at 3.6" on the target and see through the scope if the milldots correspond to the lines.

Bought one recently. Wish I had seen this video! Exact same issue. Piss poor accuracy. Some ammo is just plain ridiculous...four inch groups at 50? I have noticed that light pressure downward on the bolt while shooting greatly reduces group size. I'm a right handed shooter...so I use my left hand under the chassis and hold the bolt with my fingers...gonna sell it
