I don’t know where she’s coming from with these “facts”. Never noticed the medication stop working for me. And I don’t believe that’s a fact what she’s saying about juices. In fact for me and what I’ve been told is eating lower carbs/paleo and juices etc makes the mediation even more active and stronger in your system and I have felt that for sure. It’s like if you haven’t eaten you can feel the medication more strongly.

Also look into ADHD and menopause. And ADHD and genetic variances/mutations (MTHFR, COMT, MAO, etc.. ADHD symptoms more unmanageable post menopause. (I’m one of those statistics you started talking about, unmedicated yet, executive function issues, depression, low energy, etc. Had emotional PMS pre menopause which now is called PMDD. It used to last a week, but now it’s perpetual since HRT is contraindicated. 😢

I bought several notion templates but I still just can’t get into it. Just discovered xtiles and it seems like a better fit for my brain. Looking forward to digging into it more. Also not a fan of the iPad/mobile app. Side note, your home is so beautiful and peaceful looking!

My dad has been sending me links to their Facebook site for the better part of a week. I tried to see if they were backed by a medical group or other similar organization. Nope...nothing. There is no professional advice being offered by this scam company and the app they offer isn't even real (web-based does not count). I can't even get behind a site that has no up-front pricing disclosure.

Great video. ADHD medication from the little I know, doesn't work the same for eveyone. Some benefit from some of what you mentioned and some dont see much of an effect. Its not magic. It might give you a little boost or it may do nothing but make you feel out of it.

It's funny because I was searching for a review of the app "Clarify ADHD" and when I watched this video I instantly thought "Thank god, I dodge the bullet!". Thank you for "clarifying" what types of apps are SCAMs taking advantage of our "desperation" and impulsiveness!

Oh no... I laughed so hard at the start of the video until you said concussion and now I feel a little guilty. I laughed because: "It's me... I'm back... because... you know... disappeared again... but... I'm back... and err..." should be the ADHD motto.

Bublup is wonderful. Just today I was thinking, how is this app so good?! Which sounds like an ad, but it’s not. I logged in to the website for the first time and it’s super useful that was as well.

Thank you for posting this video. You have no clue how nice it feels to know there are other people who grew up in a similar circumstances. Ps. I'm Puerto Rican and black, my son is Pr, black Russian and I get mistaken as the nanny too.

This was a fantastic video. I'm italian and thai, grew up in both countries, and because of it something that i've always been able to do is get angry. Whenever i saw or heard any weird subliminal messaging which is how i call them i'd say no get mad or at the very least be visibly displeased and make the other person uncomfortable so they wouldn't bring up those topics again, but that's because the way thai people politely othered mixed kids worked in my favour and in italy, because i only look vaguely "exotic" but in an acceptable way. I'm also very small and people aren't programmed to perceive anything i do or say as violent. It's always really interesting hearing perspectives from black women to me because your experiences are so different from mine. In my entire uni class we only have two black kids. One's my group project mate, I get angry for him a lot. Once a guy made a black people can't swim joke to him and i hit him in the ribs before he could finish it n my friend could understand. I'm a huge believer in the more marginalised people hear something, even if not directed towards them, the worse it is for them. edit: and yeah fuck the cross section between people not expecting your entire category of people to succeed and adhd man.

Ok hi I am immediately a fan, i've been craving deeper discussions with people with adhd about this stuff and making life more accessible to us. Fuck i've had a journey from learning i had adhd to unlearning biases i had that made my life miserable and to finally change my environment/my life based on how i've changed. Many of the more popular resources are about explaining adhd to people for the first time and that's fantastic, i'm just glad you're giving such a thoughtful view of things (not saying others dont!)

There is a solo developer who made an app called "Journal it" on android, Web, and iOS. I think this app has helped me tremendously and has almost all the tools in one!!! The day themes section is a unique feature i haven't seen in other productivity planning apps. Its my favorite as a sahm that has to accommodate to everyone else's schedules and needs. I completely recommend this app, especially if you like to break down tasks and schedule them in your day like i do. Honestly, im surprised this app doesn't have much talk or recognition. Though i think its because the dev is literally pumping out improvements and updates left and right. Who's got time for ads? 😆 I would gladly watch a video review of this app from you, please 😊🙏

I wish I had found you earlier!! Thanks for the helpful advice. I got conned by Mellowflow about 5 weeks ago. I got chased up by the CEO who had seen my test and was 'worried' for me. I ended up paying the $29.95 and went straight in to a sales funnel trying to take over $130. When I immediately contacted them and said I felt conned and wanted a refund I was refused. After putting up a review on Trustpilot I ended up getting the offer of a 50% refund but did not take it and just carry on writing bad reviews whenever I can

I tried for a year to use notion, but the way everything lives in a database and having to input so much information into a page for a single object or task is just too too too much. Feels so clunky inputting information.

This is so validating! And everything you said about the hobbies being for *you* is really important. Sometimes a new hobby sticks, and sometimes it doesn't.When it doesn't, sometimes it comes back later---and I never know when! But whatever! I know a bunch more about that thing, and the learning is so fun in itself. It took me years to dump the shame associated with my on-again, off-again hobbies and rabbit holes, but I'm now able to take a lot of joy in my own curiosity and love of learning. Re spending, my rule has become to spend enough to have a satisfying experience (don't buy the trash ukulele, because it will just suck), but not so much that I'll be mad at myself if I dump the thing in two months (don't buy the antique ukulele!). I just try to go in knowing that it might not last, even though I FEEEEL like I'm going to love this forever. Thanks for your great channel! <3

What if ritalin is making me energetic? Is it possible that i do not have adhd ?
@AdhDONE
@AdhDONE Ай бұрын
Anything is possible, but keep in mind that while what I list is common, we're all very different. It could be that that's just how your body reacts to Ritalin. It could also be that there's something going on with your dopamine receptors to the point where your balance of dopamine is more conducive to energy. This alone isn't a guarantee of anything except that your body responds to the medicine with feeling energetic.
