It's mine too today 10th July. I bought an Esterbrook Raven with a button piston filler. Great pen, a joy to write. Can't stop writing. I wish I can use the pen writing this comment!!😂 The only Estie Raven in the country!! For now. The ink i used Diamine's music set.. Wagner. Kinda like olive green and yellow similar to Iroshizuku Ina-Ho. No sheen but great shading which i like. The Raven was able to display the shades eventhough it is a F nib. Pretty amazing. Great pen. Every pen collector should pick one up. The color blue is amazing but not available here. So my choice is J Herbin Eclat de Saphir. If you got the chance kindly review Penlux from Taiwan comparable in price with Opus 88 Koloro Demo.Their resin is like the Italians. They even made a special limited edition of 10 using Omas celluloid!! Their standard model Delgado Masterpiece. I love your pen review coz there's a lot of writing sample compared to others - 20 minutes video with couple of lines of writing for 2 minutes top. But it's 20 minutes video!! Anyway great video as always. Take care. (I got a Monteverde Canyon Rust reserve for fall writing season. For Halloween will be all black for the Raven!)

Great video! I got into fountain pens in 2016 and have settled on Aurora as my favorite brand, and the 88 as my favorite pen ❤ I have 10 or so, mostly limited editions - the size, shape, and weight are all perfect for me. Very similar to the MontBlanc 146 in size and shape. Glad you enjoyed it!

That's a really pretty ink. BTW, I bought a Pineider Avatar UR Matte Black Cherry after our last meet up and I LOVE it! Thanks, penabler! ;) And yes, I usually try to match my pen and ink colors.

My Pineider Avatar is one pen that remains in my regular rotation and is a really good writer. Great pen and ink combination!

Excellent treatment of this comparison. For me, acquiring a 823 would be an exercise in indulgence as I have two Custom 74's, one in EF and one a stub M via Pendleton Brown, both of which have no faults, only excellence.

Not a fan of Pineider pens, for a number of different reasons. So, I never bought one. Blue inks may be commonplace and numerous, and hence hard to always stand out as especially lovely and desirable. But I have a few special favorite blues. Your Leonardo blue is very pretty, no kidding. Certainly more aqua-turquoise than a true blue. I never bought ink samples. But this one is well worth trying before buying a bottle. Visconti Blue is one of my own enduring favorites. Readily recommended! Good to hear you again, Mona. Happy to drop by and comment, as always.

Diamine dont have a competition to just name their inks they actually let reddit users to 'design' a couple of inks, I think each year. A lot of these reddit inks become very popular.

Love that colour! It's on my wishlist. I only have a Safari Vista with a M nib, the clear one, and I love it. It was my first fountain pen in December last year. The ink flow is wonderful in my pen and I'd like to get some other nibs and see how I like them.

I thought Serenity Blue was darker? Love the colour combo, lovely Leonardo ink and that pen looks very interesting. 😇🩷🙏🙌

I have a Green Striated Sheaffer Balance Junior with chrome trim. I need to get a sac put on it, but otherwise it is in great shape. I also have the longer slim Sheaffer Green Striated Balance with a wider chrome band, but the feed is broken and needs to go in for repairs. BTW, I love how you wrote your f’s and l’s! Beautifully written!

Fabulous fun! I could hear the pop and fizzles in the background. Cool sound effects for your painting session. That’s a good use of inks with fabulous colors! To avoid contamination, you could place some ink into a palette. Rinse away when finished. We live in the country as well. I’m watching 6-8 different shows all around me. It’s 10:30 p.m. and they are still going strong! Since my dog is anxious and upset, I’m wide awake. Thanks for sharing! 🎆

As a model builder and painter metallic colors are often recommended to have a black undercoat to bring out the shine of the metallics. Nice colors. I’ve bought about 6 colors from this company. Also metallic pigments are always going to sink into the bottom of the jar so you always need to mix the paint before you can use them properly.

So pretty 🤩! I just received a sample of the Robert Oster Antiqua Rose gold ink today! I love Robert Oster’s cherry blossom and after trying out a sample ordered the bottle along with Robert Oster Romeo and Juliet. So excited as I am sure I will be adding a bottle of the rose gold antiqua to my collection soon.

Hello, I am envious of all of you who managed to use Robert Oster Rose Gold Antiqua.... I have a bottle but so far but it has clogged every single pen I tried it in (broads, stubs, and medium) I wonder if you shake the bottle well before filling the pen, I sure do but there are so much shimmer and the particles are so coarse that it never fails to clog my feeds :( This includes a TWSBI Diamond 580 Rose Gold II <m> for which I bought that ink...

I also have a couple of the same technical pens. The ink was dried out on both pens and thinking of just using soapy warm water to clean them. But I saw these Higgins at Joan's site and decided to give it a try. Is the pen India ink suitable for technical pens? I just bought Higgins Pen Cleaner (#17979881) and Higgins Fountain Pen India Ink (#: 17976879) and they may arrive in 5 business days from today. Any thoughts?

Not sure why the price is up there, they stopped making them as I understand, and it could be treated as a collector's item. it has nice NS emblem, on top of the cap, stands for north south and if I recall that a sailor who developed pilot pens. still debating to purchase medium nib.

I have the platinum ultra extra fine, its great for technical writing but nit for singing documents. I am motivated to get the pilot NS, steel nib and as everyone saying its starts great from the box, but the price is only thing stopping me, as for the sane price I could get the custom 74 with gold nib. Don't have any TWSBI's yet. I like the Diamond and Minis in cream colour but I'm not fond of rose gold. It would be cool if you could choose between gold, silver, rose gold or bronze for every pen and model. That would be great! I have been looking at Opus 88's, after watching one of your videos, and they have many nice pens. And now you reminded me of the TWSBI's again. *sigh* 😆🩷

I love matchy-matchy! I have used the R.O. Rose Gold Antiqua in my Kaweco AL Rose Gold and J. Herbin Gris Orage in my TWSBI Diamond Smoke & Rose Gold. Thanks for sharing the wonderful pairing. It took me quite a while to get away from my F and EF nibs because I like fine writing as well. But! Once I tried a B nib I was hooked because I was able to see the beautiful sheening and shading properties of my glorious inks. I do have several TWSBs, Eco-T, Eco, Diamond 580, Vac 700 R with a B nib, and Diamond mini. I love the four Rose Gold Editions that I have. I enjoy all your videos. Thanks for sharing!

Don't you just love that TWSBI Broad, love my Eco. oh wow, too fun. That inks looks exactly like FWP Cabernet On The Lake. Which I run eye-droppered in a Kakuno. That is nutty how that happens.

Thanks for your review I think it will be a good buy. At least it is darker than my Kaweco Sunset Orange. 👍 I did watched your video reviewing Syo Ru , Tsuki Yo and I am ordering those too in sample 5ml vial. And lucky me, I did found an local online retailer having stock on Iroshizuku Ina Ho which already discontinued. I will be buying that in 15 ml. The only volume they got. Thank you for making this video. I think this is the only video review of this ink in KZfaq that I know of. I just bought black TN. Thinking of ordering a separate TF black refill thus I need a white ink for this. This specific brand and color ink is available at my local pen shop. Expensive though at 16 bucks when converted to USD. Ouch!! Your channel really contribute a lot in my purchase decision. Couldn't thank you enough. Thank you.
