Hopefuly viewers of the channel know what Camel Audio's - Camel Phat is and what did it contribute to the dubstep scene (robotic stuff) back in 2008-11 I mean , back then the default plugin chain was : NI Massive ---stuff stuff stuff ---> Camel Phat ---stuff stuff stuff -> Sugar bytes Effectrix ---> basic signal process. @@studioe11evennh I don't use MIDI generators, but Melody Sauce is one. There are a few in Propellerhead Reason like Polystep which will also work with beats, and Ableton Generative Tools packaged with Live. In any case, $300 for a MIDI generator that doesn't have usable sounds seems way overpriced.

@@studioe11evennh Are you kidding rn? You clearly lack basic research skills and have zero domain knowledge. If you paid full retail for your Unison plugins, you're exactly the kind of nubcake they're targeting. A fool and his money are easily parted. But since you asked for examples, prepared to get schooled. Orb Producer Suite 3 - € 99 - gets you 4 midi generator plugins, including one for bass, which will not only stay in key, it will follow a chord progression. Captain Plugins Epic v7 - $99 - similar to Orb Suite, you get 5 plugins, including one for generating basslines that follow your chords. Scaler 2.9 - $65 - An absolutely 1st rate composition tool that will help you come up with great chord progressions and make melodies, arppegios and basslines from them. EZbass - €179 - Whilst it's over $100, it's still way cheaper than Unison's offering and will produce a way better results. InstaComposer 2 - On sale rn for under $50 - All the AI generation you can handle with multi-channel output for all the different parts. Some of them will require some very basic music theory but if all you're capable of doing is pressing a big red button and anything more taxing on your creativity is just too much to ask, then you probably deserve to be ripped off.

@studioe11evennh
@studioe11evennh 3 ай бұрын
Not really thinking that you're understanding the concept of what a rent-to-own is.... anytime that you rent to own something and gives you the availability to try it out at a cheaper rate and if you like it you can continue to make the payments until you fully own it there for you do own it.. and usually a rent-to-own you pay a lot more than you would if you just flat out purchased it. Now with that being said there's a lot of plugins out there that allow you to try for free or have a demo version but there's also a lot of plugins out there that do not have that okay. This happens to be one of those companies that does not have a free demo however, what is nice is that they do have a rent-to-own where you can try it which is something that a lot of other places that don't offer demos don't have. And especially whenever you're spending a decent amount of money you definitely would like to try it first even if it comes at a use a small price tag. If you don't want it you don't ever have to get it🤷

I like writing my own beats and melodies. It's really not that hard. This instant gratification approach to production makes me want to vomit. It's just masturbation after a certain point, especially now that we have dystopian things like Udio. I would use AI for mastering, and to be honest, because I'm terrible at finishing things I'd probably try out tools that help with arrangements, but I know that if I finally get to a point where I have a smooth process for arranging that doesn't take decades, I'll feel a lot more satisfaction having built that skill set. Anyhow, a lot of those beats and samples sound terrible, and the ones that don't I could program during a bus ride downtown
@studioe11evennh
@studioe11evennh 3 ай бұрын
Yeah if you actually listen to the video you would see that you completely missed the point of what I talked about in the video. What's your describing as using plugins like this as a crutch. We should be perfectly Frank using AI style mastering plugins is a crutch as well. Mastering is an art just like riding beats and riding melodies. Sometimes we work in genres that are a little unfamiliar to us. Sometimes we want to crank out a Melody but we just need a drum sample. Sometimes we don't want to use samples from other people or loops. We want to create something new but we want to get to Melody out so we need a drum pattern to go under it in a snap. There's a lot of different reasons people will use this instead of just being lazy. Call the arguments that you just made can be used for the same argument for AI mastering. But you seem to make an excuse for that . Going forward if you're going to crap on someone's video you should probably listen to the whole thing.

Not that I know. It would be very handy to be able to use it as a common VST by just dragging in some other midi file. I would love to be able to do that because then you could take and put a midi file in the editor and then even just swap out the last bar. I also would love to be able to pull out the midi file and then drop it back in there. But that's not how that works. If you do want to use the VST you would have to generate the midi in the the VST and then X4 as an audio file. Leave upgraded a lot in this revision and I'm sure that they will upgrade again in the future. But the best thing about grabbing your copy is that all upgrades in the future are free. Which that's pretty standard with mini vsts but the difference between Unison and other companies is that the upgrades that they've made makes it almost a completely new VST. If you got any other questions please don't hesitate to ask I answer them if I can
