I have 2014 Chevy Silverado. P0700 P07096 #3 shift solenoid stuck in off. Will the valve body swap fix this? How do you know if your trans needs to be rebuilt?
@lifewithderrick5984
@lifewithderrick5984 6 күн бұрын
Metal in the pan burnt transmission fluid and yes that swap should work fine make sure you change strainer as well when valve body is changed give street smart transmission a call the can most definitely help

@@lifewithderrick5984I am trying to clarify your answer. So metal in pan and burnt fluid is bad tranny or swap valve body?
@lifewithderrick5984
@lifewithderrick5984 14 сағат бұрын
Burnt fluid yes because with these types of transmission fluid should be changed ever 150,000 miles so burnt fluid will make solenoids bad but a lot of metal in the pan in the pan means you have bigger issues you will have some metal because of friction over time but it has to be very excessive for a replacement or rebuild

No problem most of the 6l80 6l90 has that problem because the fluid is not changed like it should be and those solenoids is what control the flow of the fluid and when they malfunction it cause shift problems and also change the strainer as well

If the pan is clean, this is great advice, a cheaper option and worth a try for just 500bones.. But if you are loaded with metal, it's usually game over. The TCCs were garbage and when they burn up, they take out the rest of the show.

Did the things you spoke of and it was still the same, no computer so was left thinking it was the clutchs. So it went on the back burner as its my classic old holden commodore ss. After you're clip popped up today I went and fired it up and it's fixed.... How's that. 💯🤫🎈⚚ Holden was in the good book 📙 and you said those magic numbers bro.. God bless.

Yes sir they will, I just got my truck back from the dealership picking my truck up, I just spent $3,700.00 for nothing, so I’m taking my pan down and replace the whole cluster also, I’m stuck in 2nd gear, and no reverse and my code is P0700 meaning it’s the shift solenoid. These 6L80 are good as hell while they’re working but when the break, it’s 15 cases of beer, 4 bottles of whiskey and a bunch of money thrown away like being at the tittie bar lol
