180 k isn’t that expensive for what the Car is ! I remember back in 80’s Corvette & Cadillac talked about MID ENGINES back then ! It’s SUCKS so hardcore 2 b POOR !!!!!!!!!

Way to many dealers selling below MSRP for anyone to buy at MSRP unless they just like giving money away. I got my 2024 E-ray @ $8617 off MSRP.

My 2023 just experienced the same issue with the trunk popping up and drained the battery been in the shop for almost a month waiting on the parts for trunk button replacement !

Accelerated yellow has too much green in it. The 2025 competition yellow actually looks yellow and is an improvement.

I have 2023 Z06 Convertible, bought it 6 months ago. it has now spent almost a month of that time at the dealer because of HTC problems. it won't open it won't close i'm getting messages telling me to have it serviced. Never had that issue with my HTC Stingray C8

I would rather have competition yellow but admittedly I don't think it looks as good as I thought it would be. Overall I'd prefer pearl white as an option like on the 70th anniversary.

This is a common issue with C8s. It is a computer on wheels. Has to be carefully rebooted after battery change.

I had something similar happen when I got PPF - a bunch of codes and a drained battery. I didn’t have the decklid issue though. Everything cleared once I ran it awhile. PPF guys need to figure out how to do their job without running down the batteries!

The C8 trickle charger is worth every penny.

Clarence Stefanie is part of my Club Baltimore County Corvette Club. She is a Service Writer at Heritage Chevrolet. They fixed my trunk lid issue as well. The motor had went bad. Heritage has great technicians there.

The Z06/7 is based on a Track Car (like the original 1963 Z06). Track cars stay in the upper Rev- Range where horsepower means more than torque. The ZR1 is/was the monster street Corvette. 😉

Idk man but that yellow is exotic to me. It has a very big lambo yellow to me. I was there too and it looks fantastic in person. The accelerate yellow look sooo cheap and a big highlighter with too much green.

I think it looks good both yellows look nice. You want more torque order an eray you want more scoops buy a ZR1 GM gives you the choices. Me im very happy with my Atomic orange Z06.

Like and/or dislike of a color, design scheme, and forms, as in shape, is entirely subjective. You can't judged wrong for your personal preferences. Equally, you(for example)can't judge others as right or wrong for the exact same reasons. I don't agree that Competition Yellow is not an exotic hue compared to Accelerate Yellow. Personally, to me, it doesn't matter, or if the shades are intermixed in the same model. I have observed that often when two very similar yet distinctly different items are NOT placed side by side in comparison, BOTH are equally are evenly liked/disliked. It's only when it's brought to conscious attention that it becomes an issue. Just my 2 cents.

100% agree with you on the color. That yellow is good for prior generations but not the C8. I love the accelerated yellow.

i would do red seat belts and brakes on that yellow. the purple looks great. and rapid blue looks amazing too!!

Another great video Clarence. I was talking with a friend at Carlisle today. He explained the torque issue just about the same he mentioned it came more on the top end or the rpm band.

Accelerate Yellow is much better!! To me it’s the best color on the C8. Was thinking about getting a Z06 but would have to get a 2024 to get in the much better yellow!! Competition Yellow looks like color in my old FJ Cruiser. Doesn’t fit car like the exotic Accelerate Yellow!

Oof! You’re definitely right about the exterior yellow vs. the interior yellow. I figured there’d be some variation compared to Accelerate Yellow, but that’s pretty bad. As for the quality of the stitching, it annoys me that it still comes out crooked and doesn’t line up in so many C8s. I’ve seen some pretty atrocious examples.

I bought a Red/Red Comp Seat Manual 2018 Z06 earlier this year. It's got bolt ons and tuned on e85 sitting at more HP than this c8z and I only spent $65k after buying it and mods. Oh, and the fact it has a manual available.....C7Z >>>>> for the money.

I ordered my accelerate yellow w/o even seeing one in person, was more than happy. It just POPS, the yellow seatbelts & yellow calipers all go together. I’m definitely not a fan of the new yellow, sadly I’d get a more “basic” color before I got it

You spend over $100k for a car. The manufacturer can atleast get colors right, stitching lining up etc. Gm quality has always been sub par.

You’re probably the ONLY ONE that thinks the competition yellow looks worse than the accelerate yellow. Everyone has been saying that this is the yellow they should’ve brought out to begin with. It’s way more shiny. Accelerate yellow is flat by comparison. Anyway everyone’s entitled to their opinions, but you’re the first person I’ve ever heard to say that they preferred accelerate over competition yellow. You’re right about the yellow seatbelts not matching. That sets off my OCD. Lol

I prefer the new yellow but agree with- why the heck would GM not offer matching seat belt and stitching. Those things are easy to find and other MFGs have it.. If GM dont fix it then ill just do the black seat belts and order from another co. As for the stich work thats easy and you can find a fabric marker that will work.

Only one of those things you mentioned is specific to the Z06. The rest apply to all C8s -kinda. The brake calipers are also Competition Yellow, which is a true yellow. Accelerate yellow has a lot of light blue in it. And, how does the color of one car have an impact on the Z06 itself?

Oh my. Clarence is having a bad day. Swap the colors. Get on the phone to ACS for some better side intake and say it with me - that more torque won’t do much more for that flat plane Z06 engine/trans combo. Lots of reasons why.
