I’m from north wales, (whole family are from here, but I was born in Germany and lived all over the UK) lived here since 2000. I’m really sad that I don’t have a Welsh accent, I sound a lot more English/scouse 😅 I’d love a thick Welsh accent!

My grandfather, born in 1914, had a Valleys Accent. Thought he died in 1981, I can still hear his voice and the wise things he said. I say them myself today.

My dad is a Welsh speaking welshman from Anglesey, I had a thousand Welsh great aunties and uncles... the accent there is completely different from this video. I love it. For so long I never realised it was his actual accent (although people told he spoke differently, he was just my dad) when he says things like vi-deh-O! ra-deh-O!(video/radio), or Frewwwt (fruit), I thought he was taking the piss! Love my dad, love his accent, and I love being a (grand)son of Wales (with a Welsh name and a Welsh family name).

As a London boy who moved to Australia where they will all plainly tell you they don't have an accent I love the diversity of accents in Britain and even London, but Welsh accents are lovely.. I was in Halifax in Yorkshire in a launderette doing washing and this Pakinstani lady comes in wearing a hijab, she said hello and had the broadest Yorkshire accent, we had a right ol conversation it was so much fun.

Some feller thought I was Welsh from my accent, so I figured I'd gander at a video to find out myself. Though, I guess maybe he thought it was, from my last name. Or because he overheard me talking about the isolated little nook of Canada I come from.
