I made this a day before without frosting. To be honest, I have just started to learn baking. The marble cake came out very well and this is the best i have baked so far. Thank you so so much for the recipe. I just skipped coffee and added a lil less homemade buttermilk than what MK recommended. Again, thanks a lot for sharing your amazing recipe with us. Ohh what a timing.. its my anniversary today and was looking for a new cake recipe to try when your video popped. Made this cake and was loved by all. Thank you for sharing such a lovely recipe .. the sponge turned out to be soft and moist with perfect sweetness and the berry compote took the cake to the next level. Looking forward for more such recipes. Would appreciate if you can share more eggless recipes.

I'm anxious to try this. Though Im curious- I've used baking soda for leavening, but I've never used teh combo of cornstarch and baking powder too in a cake. What does that do to the cake?
