Yes, in the rare event of a faulty panel on the roof, it would be bypassed while the rest of the panels continue to function normally.

Daca as construi o casa acum, nici nu as sta pe ganduri sa aleg asa ceva. Sunt curios daca este comparabil la pret cu pretul unui acoperis similar de tabla faltuita + instalare ulterioara de fotovoltaice. Desi chiar si pentru o diferenta rezonabila, tot este o solutie superioara estetic.

If you need to replace a panel in the middle, how do you do? Do you have to remove many around?

Hello Sofia! Luckily it's pretty easy, we open one panel row from top to bottom, change the panel and then close it again.

what's the purpose of cutting the overlap corner? to let the cables go through?

Not too sure but I think if it isn't cut, the overlapping sheet wont slide down over the top of the one beneath.

No you don't. You just need to open one row from top to bottom and then change the panel you need.
