This is not compelling. She presents a single case history that she admits involves an inherently progressive condition and claims without evidence that the prism glasses are causing the deterioration. She tells stories about brain adaptation, but does not inform what scientific studies have (or have not) been done larger sample sizes to determine if prisms themselves cause progressive double vision. People's vision often deteriorates over time, and we all know that prescriptions change over time accordingly. Are we supposed to stop correcting vision by concluding cause and effect of wearing glasses when we need new prescription? I have had pronounced double vision that has been getting progressively worse, that was affecting my quality and safety of life. I've tried a variety of recommended exercises with no notable effect. I recently got fitted with prism glasses and my life has changed dramatically, it actually feels close to miraculous. Of course, I don't know what treatment is suggested here in this infomercial, because she doesn't describe it. I'd be interested to try some therapy, but I would certainly not give up the prisms for some treatment that is partially effective and takes months or longer. The case history at the heart of this video has a patient who has engaged in this therapy but still has serious double vision in need of strong prism correction. Although this patient is stated to have improved, we get no information of how long this therapy has taken or evidence of when or whether the patient is supposed to not suffer from the disability as a result of the therapy. Meanwhile the patient is supposed to put up with the disability of double vision, which the patient still has?

Been wrapping my head around years of tinnitus and inner ear issues. I consistently noticed more issues with eye strain, pressure, fatigue and consistent dizziness and vertigo ish feelings. (Not all attacks had felt the same). My exam yesterday discovered a verticle deviation and frankly i had to push for the doctor to even consider that. He told me my .5 correction may have nothing to do with my symptoms. I said well imagine if they know you have consiserable hearing loss, and your eyes are strained, you think the spine can cover the rest? I purchased a pillow you recommended and am going to seek some upper spinal help. Thanks for sharing this information id imagine lots of people were in my boat with chronic dizziness and hadnt discovered this.

Hi Dr, my question is about two glasses prescriptions for a 23-year-old: Prescription One: Right eye -2.75 sphere, -0.50 cylinder; Left eye -3.00 sphere, -0.75 cylinder. Prescription Two: Right eye -2.75 sphere, -0.50 cylinder; Left eye -2.75 sphere, -1.00 cylinder. My question is: Are these prescriptions identical for distance vision, even with the different values for the left eye?Should we add the two combinations of myopia and astigmatism, which both equal -3.75, to know? Thanks!

Several years ago I had lens replacement surgery for cataracts. Ended up with a pretty nice distance vision with no glasses, and use 1.75 or 2.0 reading glasses for computer work. Now, I'm finding with night driving on the freeway I'm getting double vision, that's worse when I'm tired. Since I'm not wearing glasses when driving given my focus is good at distance, I can't just lower my prescription by taking glasses off that I'm not wearing. Would that mean that I should re-adjust my near vision by using different magnifiers for the computer?
@visontherapy

First off, your doc should be able to review your prescription. But if they don't think you can actually lower your prescription then you may have a challenge there.
