I liked Simonson's work on Manhunter, Sword of Sorcery. & Metal Men. Clever guy. I liked his work on Detective comics with Engelhart and Milgrom although it did not go so well with Editorial..

I heard Danny's show on NY radio in the '70s.. He'd open the show with Charlie Barnett's "Cherokee" and play big band swing records. But after every couple of discs he'd start reading a sponsor's ad copy, and after a while the ads got annoying.. I wanted to hear big bands and instead just kept listening to him plug some seafood restaurant or other thing.. There were so many other choices on non-commercial radio that I got tired of his voice and stopped listening. But I've always been a big FM fan and so Stiles does occupy a warm spot in my radio listening memories.

Wow, so informational. Definitely going to pick up some of these on my next trip to the comic book store. Loved Madison's comments especially!

Good interview. I loved his interpretation of the Fourth World. I initially hated New Gods until my comic guy told me to read it exactly like Walt explained. It took me awhile to read it, but, went from my least favorite Jack Kirby to favorite. Orion was also my favorite of the New Gods. You can tell George Lucas copied some aspects of Kirby in Star Wars.
