I've seen the comment elsewhere, and I agree: I think Tigh realizing that he was a Cylon only made his bond to Adama that much stronger. His friendship and history with Adama is real, and he knows that a lot of what he's thought of as his memories, his childhood, etc, are lies.

For some reason, the ending is absolutely hilarious. "This revelation changes *everything!* What does this mean for our lives going forward?" "It means nothing. Get back to your stations." And they all just do that.

Me too. No matter what you are, no matter what is in your past, when it comes to a crisis situation, you can choose to be honorable. Even if your past crimes are unforgivable and the only punishment must be death, you should go forward in an honorable way. They can execute you tomorrow; today you have to be one of the good guys and help them.

Only watched the show last year, and Saul became my favourite character. He can be awful at times so I didn't want to like him. But he became my hero forever after this speech.

Saul Tigh almost blew his brains out once, if it hadn't been for his friend Adama sending MP to go collect him and return him to duty he would be dead. Plot twist Adama is also an Angel.

This moment has always stuck with me. Saul is choosing to stay true to who he is, not what he is. He only ever wanted to be a good soldier and serve beside his best friend. If fate decides this is his last day then Saul Tigh will spend it the only way he knows how.
