I’m just packing up and loading my KODIAQ 7 seater with the last row seats folded only to notice there’s absolutely no mounts near the roof in this version - why on earth they don’t do them in 7 seater since it can also be used as 5 seater and have cargo that could be above middle row seats height or even driving a dog in the boot normally requires at least cargo net in case of an accident so it doesn’t become a projectile that shoots forward- what a lack of critical safety in this model!! I’m really disappointed as we’ll as other things that broke like super cheap door handle plastics that fall apart in such a premium car… won’t go ŠKODA again and will be going back to Volvo who don’t compromise safety.

@@RomanVerhovsek There's never been a perfect car but it's such as disappointment that key safety things are compromised... although for the high price Kodiaqs are sold one gets very cheap plastics in components such as door pull handles that easily break and it's rather obvious they have to withstand some forces i.e. are not purely decorative! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLZ5iLxo1rTPnIk.html

Hi mate how reliable and fuel efficient is Kodiaq ? I am planning to buy a diesel 2 litre SEL 2019-2020 any help would be much appreciated many thanks greetings from Edinburgh Scotland

My overall fuel efficiency (as seen on the infotainment system) is around 7l/100km if I don't care at all while driving. But if I most of the time use the ACC, it can go down to 6l/100km. Regarding reliability (my Kodiaq is 2017): Within a warranty period an engine sensor was replaced, lock mechanism was replaced because a left rear door didn't lock, the infotainment screen was replaced because there was a line of dead pixels and a front camera was replaced because ACC stopped working. Next time I will definitely take 6 years of warranty again. Unfortuantely, after the warranty expiration, the engine cooling aid started to leak slowly. The result was 750 EUR of expenses for replacing an intake manifold (didn't solve anything) and the service garage then wanted to grind the piston rings for additionaly 1500 EUR. Fortunately at that time, the colling aid started to leak heavily and the solution was to replace weater pump for 350 EUR. For 1100 EUR spent on that problem, Kodiaq is so far the most expensive car to maintain (Renault Grand Scenic and Citroen Xsara took less of my money). I guess, more expensive the car is, more is the maintenance costs.

The rear boot lid on my Skoda Kodiaq (67 reg) will unlock but not open or close automatically. I have to push it open or closed against the resistance. Any advice please would be most welcome.

Very useful channel when I decided to by my Kodiaq this year! Thanks! I have Kodiaq 2023 and my front left parking sensor seems to be crazy. It is always detecting something not there - especially in city driving when there are no cars around at the traffic stop. I washed the car and check nothing is in front of the sensor - still the problem occurs. Did you encounter such problems?

@@RomanVerhovsek The problem seems to be related to hot air rising from the road. In autumn and winter this is not happening. I have service before summer and will ask them. Also the sensor are much slower than for example in Honda. There is significant delay when parking between actual distance and detected. Sensors detect being close too late...

Der Front Assistent Sensor ist eine gute einnahme Quelle von VW da er sehr leicht ohne zutun von verursachten Schaden kaputt geht..Da ich selbst einen VW Touran fahre und immer VW gefahren bin weiß ich von was ich hier schreibe...

steering wheel clock spring.....its ribbon cable that is rolled into spring which connects horn, air bag regardless of steering wheel position, noise you can hear is winding/unwinding ribbon cable, older car used to have rolling contact plate

I just bought a used Skoda Karoq with the Canton sound system, and I was shocked at how bad it sounds. I hope it's broken or badly calibrated or something, because it sounds like a phone speaker, or a very badly compressed mp3 file! I upgraded from a 20 year old Honda Civic, and I can't believe this newer car sounds so much worse.

My dealer (not Skoda) listed in suspension systems "EDC elektronski nadzor blažilnikov" - is this the same as DCC (am presuming "Comfort" mode in screen modes) as I can't find much info on EDC in Slovenia nor globally?

What about the brake pads and the brake discs for all 4 wheels? Is better to discuss from that point of view. And, of course, the wheel bearing, that brokes on very poor roads

On Kodiaq 2022 my left and right front sensors are randomly showing proximity warning and when car heats up after some 10 min. it's for the whole drive. First VW said it's 'normal' for the parking sensors to not work in humid or hot environment. Then they changed one sensor. The same. Then they moved location of the sensors. Lef and right still don't work. Last week 'processor' (control unit). Nothing changed, sensors constantly make a non-existent obstacles present. I pushed very hard on service shop to repair it because they've tried everything to make it a 'normal' behaviour. This car is great internally and externally but electronics and slow, sticky with horrible grinding 6-speed manual shifter are completely subpar.

So you didn’t resolve it. This issue isn’t just caused by extreme weather conditions. It’s actually I quite common error in VW as well and they still haven’t managed to resolve this 100%

I've had my Kodiaq for around 18 months - fantastic car, but the Canton sound system is very average (particularly the rear speakers which are some of the worst I've heard). Dynaudio in the VW cars is much better, but the Skoda is a better car overall.

Brake Assist problems.... disconnect the front bumper radar sensor and tape up the plug to stop water getting in. The brakes will go back to normal so the driver has full control

Just received my 2022 Kodiaq, which also have the wireless charging option. Plus: Yes, it charges my iPhone 13 as well as an iPhone 12 with a Mous protection case. Minus: It only when the phone is EXACTLY on the sweet spot of the charging path. The moment you take a corner (and the phone moves) it stops charging. The moment you brake (and the phone moves) it stops charging. This is simply ANNOYING and made me switch back to wired charging. Is this something that sounds recognizable?

Are you still happy with your purchase? Any problems? Can I watch a couple hours of regular tv with static channel logos without worrying about burn in? I can get the Philips 55 706 for 1000 USD, should I get it, wait for next year evo panels or get the LG B1 for 100 USD more? Or Sony A80j for 400 USD more?
