How did you go about doing the non piston joint on the leg (the one in the middle i think). The instructions indicate that it could move a bit but if i try to move it then it would bend the plastic tabs that fit into the many little grooves inside. Or do i just pick an angle and hope for the best?
@mokanaman3 күн бұрын
I was unable to make it move (whole thing glued into a staic pose) and guessed it was choose an angle ordeal. If I was to do it again I would make the hole larger for easier movement and change the pin into a wire. This would involve scratch building new joints too maybe.

The T-14 is an interesting subject, and the 4D model looks pretty good. I have a Modelcollect ver in my stash, but the 4D one looks so much easier to build.

Model collect is a lot of parts but normally has great fitting and should not be an issue

the coolest thing about collecting T-14 models is if you make one of them you already have 1/8th of the entire T-14 operational fleet

I really like the 4D models. I haven't too successful with traditional models with glue, so the 4D models give me an opportunity to learn modeling skills a with low risk of poor outcome. Also, if I mess up the model to the point of having to abandon the project I have lost a price of a cup of coffee instead of $30 - $ 60. I wish more of mainstream model companies would produce a wider range of the this type of model, especially military vehicles (my favorite model kit when was a boy was sanp together Revell or Monogram Sherman Tank in either 1/35 or 1/48 scale).
@mokanaman4 күн бұрын
I agree with you and even stock and resell these kits in my hobby shop, specially cheaper poorer quality ones as beginner projects. Still a lot of fun to make.

Quick question though, do you think they will have trading cards their for sale is some of the booths? I'm looking for some One piece cards

I can answer that, yes a anime trading card business has traded on and off over the years called neko cards. Last I checked Im not aware of anyone selling One Piece nor is it too big in Aus.

Thanks mate, great vid!.... Does anyone know how to make CA glue? (super glue) Its seems to be a closely guarded secret ?!?
@mokanaman26 күн бұрын
proper high quality super glue is just pure Cyanoacrylate, large amount is combustable exposed to air and super harmful base chemical to the reason why it sold in small bottles or packs. You can buy it larger amounts cheaper online then hobby or hardwear stores.

I build this kit as a kid in the early 1970's and i loved it. It's a very simplified kit. There are some mistakes in that kit. It lacks the rear stowage bins left and right from the exhaustpipes, it lacks the circular large door in the back of the turret, and it lacks the engeneer tools every german tank carries. But it is a nice kit. I hope your glueing technique has improoved since that video becaus it looks gruesome. Why using super glue when there a a lot of way better modelling cements on the market. And last the positioning of the german crosses on the instruction is completly wrong. The front boxart shows the nearly correct position, some reference pictures would help. Greetings and best wishes from Germany.

A good advice! If you planning to use the same resin then just leave it in the printer and cover it with a big empty box 📦 from lights. You can leave out for years without during it back in the bottle. Of course only if the print didn't failed and big pieces can be inside

the last two old printers I covered the UV cover in paper and tape, at one point resin sat there for a few months no issues. Just needs a stir, Im planning on getting a nice cover sewn for it to pull over and still have a clear cover to film though for videos.

very poorly and could wear out when handled, considering its inside should be fine. Layer a coat of primer or atleast sand the area so it grips nicely

how can i clean a 1500 sandpaper?? is it passible to reuse it??
@mokanamanАй бұрын
dip and use in water (or just wash) works wet and dry. Once the paper becomes soft and the sand falls out of it from the corners then it is very much dead. Sometimes material like paint and putty cannot be washed out.

If you use 3m spray paint gun cleaner if available in your part of the world. in areosol form after ever use before putting away to rest it, it will almost never clog again.. No matter the type of paint you spray. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
