I love how the bizarro characteristics come back to bite elaine in the ass here. She goes for the olives - having a habit of immediately stuffing her face and drinking whatevers in the fridge at jerrys because jerry is apathetic about his fridge and couldn't care less - and makes an immediate faux pas with the more organised kevin. Feldman does not barge in, he knocks. Even after identifying himself it's only when he indicates its feldman FROM ACROSS THE HALL can kevin and gene relax, serious concern on their faces that their utopia of an apartment is about to be compromised contrasting with the complete unsupervised truck stop that is jerrys place. Kevin has a much healthier diet with less items containing sugar, something that would no doubt get on Elaine's nerves especially when we see in a later episode she devours a 100 year old cake in order to placate her afternoon sugar deficit. The boys read - elaine doesn't. Despite the fact that elaine worked for a publishing house and now writes for j peterman, we never actually see her read one book in the entire series. We do, however, see her do almost anything else, including staring at the wall, staring at a wobbling pencil and go to the video store a number of times renting the total turkey weekend at bernies - a film these rods wouldn't be caught dead with. If elaine hadn't injured kevin here I would've given her maybe a week being friends with these weirdos before she A) shoved someone again, injuring them as apparently they're less strong and resilient to it than jerry or kramer, B) committing another faux pas or just being herself setting off the group because of her promiscuity and getting kicked out, or C) getting tired of them herself and going back to the neurotic rat den that is jerrys apartment because - she must face the fact she's much too lazy to change friends and improve herself now. After dumping 100 guys for the worst reasons ever, she would never understand the bizarro world of rational thinking and fair compromise. Poor ole laney never stood a chance.

Why does Fox refer to Trey stampeding his herd? Has he forgotten that Laird is in charge now?

I always felt that these were heavily influenced by Jon Pertwee’s era of Doctor Who…

I've just realised that the mixup with the message to Adder may have been inspired by Henry II's line about Thomas Beckett, since both lines refer to 'ridding' him of the victim

Did no one consider whether it was Fox's fault for being so needlessly cryptic? 'The Blue Fox' - why couldn't he have just said Scarface?

This remains one of the best things ever to be shown on TV. The other was the university challenge episode of the young ones. Rick Mayall was a legend
