I saw him at a clinic I went to a couple of days ago, and he had the Tech Disc with him. He was letting people throw it into the net. We were very close, like my release was no more than 5 feet from the net, and we were getting good readings for everything. There was an app update and a firmware update for my GameProofer yesterday, so I think I will film an update today. Throwing into the net and out in the field. Keep an eye on the channel!

I got the strive with the original mystery box before it was released, and it flies so much more understable then -1/3. When i was asked to give numbers on it, i said -3/2. then again, this may be because it was a prototype. I also throw nukes and gryms, both of which are -1/3 and they fly several numbers more stable than my strive
@greybearddiscgolf
@greybearddiscgolf 15 күн бұрын
I'd agree that it is much more understable than the numbers suggest. So many other high speed drivers with -1 turn like the Nuke, and Destroyer, Time Lapse, DD3 (including the Cloud Breaker Version) are very overstable and will only turn at all if you have a much higher arm speed, as the numbers attest. Remember 12-13 speed drivers need a pretty fast arm, much faster than mine, so it's nice to see something in that speed that is throwable for someone like me. That being said, I'd strongly suggest this should be rated at least -2/3, maybe 2.5/3.

I have this Game Proofer as well and my distance was way off the first 5 throws. Had me logging 600+ foot throws with 91mph arm speed. I ordered the Tech Disc and am waiting on it. When I run GameProofer now for distance I also run UDisc for distance and now they are matching closer. I was bummed to see that throwing at a net required 35feet away. I only find my GameProofer good for field shots but you have to travel more to get your readings because it’s on one disc. Good review but I’ll do a review on both after my Tech Disc comes in.

Great comparison - in my experience, Emac Truths start a hair stable before turning into laserbeams. The IS4 I was hoping was going to be a tick up in stability from the IS3, but they're only barely more OS if at all, so it didn't make the bag over my other OS mids (Quakes right now, which are gr8). Good stuff, enjoying all of your content so far - it's giving me the itch to start making vids again.

I have a BUZZZ that is quite overstable that I use in that slot, although it will push out as far as 300 ft (parked a 306 ft pancake flat hole), during a tournament last year with it. I wasn't warmed up yet, so I think I could probably push out either of these close to that. The Iron Samurai feels waaaaaay better in my hand, and I think I could probably work it straighter, to push out, and I don't think the EMAC Truth has that workability. If I wasn't bagging a Hex and the BUZZZ then the IS4 could probably take the place of both.

@@jpdiscgolf2869I definitely feel like going up to MA2 will be the best thing for my game, but the biggest drawback is not getting to play with all my MA3 buddies. I'll still see them at tournaments, but we really did have a lot of fun. I'm on Vancouver Island in BC so we have a geographically contained group. @@greybearddiscgolf I honestly expected that I'd find fewer and fewer friendly people as I moved up in levels, but honestly my groups are as good or better in MA2 and MA1 than they were in MA3. Obviously that's geography specific, but I don't feel like you're running into too many dicks on Van Island anyway, especially as relatively far out as you are. As someone who is in that MA3 rating range but has played MA2/MA1 exclusively for a couple years, I do encourage moving up, as I learn a lot just being around and watching 'better' players all the time. Especially in regards to shot selection and not 'bleeding strokes', so to speak. Kind of content I’d love to see: short rounds while you talk through the shot and which discs and lines you’re considering and maybe throwing a couple different ones. Disc comparisons (like your upcoming Clone Wars) where you’re taking a bunch of discs that are made for the same slot and seeing which ones fly best for you. (E.g. Because of the fact players in my age range may throw harder/further, im actually struggling to keep my SHOULD BE straight flying mids from turning all the way over. I’m genuinely not trying to flex at all, I actually am trying to compare your throws to how my discs of the same mold fly so I can better control the strength on my throws! Thanks for the comment. A bit of an update. At my last tags match, one of the younger guys with a faster arm speed brought his Brave, and we threw them beside each other. His flipped over a bit, whereas mine held the glide much better. All he'd need was a bit more hyzer and it would have flown really nice for him.
