am I insane, or is the placement for the fence-side rail @3:50 directional? I cannot get a north-side fence configuration to align no matter what I do - if there's a connection beside the observer, it slopes towards it. Driving me bananas.

A cobweb next to the soul sand will catch the items and kill their momentum, making it much easier to drop them onto a slime pusher.

I heard the first design isn't 100% reliable. When it breaks is the cart destroyed or does it just go with the items?

does the 2 length of powered rail have to be in that config? for example if the 2nd rail is also sloped would that work too?

I am still having problems, same as with Il mango design, Sometimes the cart will not dispense some time it will fly out as an item to the storage, its random. Must be server related, I tried in SPW it works fine. Can we replace the hopper with minecart hopper over the hopper to catch the minecart faster?

Currently I wouldn't consider it a viable alternative. I was mostly showing the new method in the event anyone wanted to work on it.

Chains don’t actually work in place of the fence, they work when the hopper minecart is empty but not when it has items in it. Also, after some testing, I think the flower pot, lantern, and soul lantern work, too. That said, probably best to just use a fence and be done with it. Thanks for the video!

Could you help me? I have been doing some test and I don't find anyway to make this work on 1.20.4. Minecarts don't drop items when they die. Is it a bug, a new feature o my fault for having some mods?

can you still make a array based on the lava setup by replacing open fence gate with rail line?

You wont have a cart where the items spawn 24/7, so the items would still be able to jump into the lava. Plus, if you put a cart line there, the cart can collect the collect carts and break the array.

Amazing design! I tried to use the mechanics of the design to create a cart unloader that can erase the momentum of the yeeted objects, so it could be used in a 1 wide tileable multi item sorter, but nothing worked. The powdered snow was promising but the cart on fire destroyed it every time 😢

Hey inspectortalon….. would it be possible to make a Minecart yeeter that uses stack separation (the new MIS does) but make it so that it’s one wide tile-able? It would make most MIS a lot better so as not to lose items to despawning

Yes, it is possible... but the issue is the unstacker is directional. Unfortunately it is better to just AB tile the 2wt slices.

@@inspectortalon ah I see…. I thought so with my own testing I couldn’t get it down to one tile…. Wanted to try upgrade lumiethiefs system that I have (lengthwise wise chest actualky are compatible with the two wide tile design… not to mention 2x hopper speed) hmmm more thinking needed…. The reason is limiethiefs doesn’t use curved rails (which are a complete pain to work with without mods)

@@inspectortalon the other thing was I trying was trying to use stack separation alone to sort items however I haven’t come up with a way to white list 64 items without removing one before hand and re adding it later (which complicates things…… (🤯🤯)

It might be possible to use this as an alternative to tnt in some farms that use placed tnt lit by a players arrow to automate player kills. The problem with these farms is that they use quite a lot of tnt but by modifying this design it might be possible to make the player light the tnt minecart.
