To be fair a storm flap should be standard. Not as if a lot of material is required.

I like it, but it demonstrates the rabbit hole all advanced medically trained persons fall into, carrying too much equipment. Rule one is everyone carries their own medical kit! Advanced medical supplies should be distributed amongst the team. For example, SAM splints (2) should be carried by two team members. Unless the mountain leader is also an advanced medical person, they are legally not allowed to distribute medicine. Although, it is my opinion every mountain guide should be a Wilderness EMT as a minimum.

These videos never seem to highlight any of the drawbacks of the products. It's a long list of features which is fine and can be gotten from the website but I'd rather see an actual review, what the negatives are, how it performs etc. Rather than just reviewing it empty with the tags still on. For example the small section at the top, I've seen other brands coat the inside with microfibre in case you put your sunglasses in there, this pack doesn't have that. It's just a small example but I always feel as though the reviewer has been given this for free and is inevitably waxing about how great it is.

I have the older version of this pack bought it cheap to sell on but the specs and comfort of this are excellent and as good as some of my newer Osprey bags, so ive decided to keep it.

Why did you change the footbed? My mom and I each bought us a new pair of Merrells last summer (2023) but the footbed has been changed, and don't fit our feet anymore. We have used the "Terran" model for several years, but suddenly we're are not able to fit your sandals?? 😢🩴
This is still my favorite North Face jacket. I love wearing mine when the weather is cold enough. Thanks for keeping this video up after all these years. This is from an era when The North Face made warm and high performance jackets, not the more modern versions which are made cheaply for fashion only. I own mine in brown and as a matching vest.

I borrowed this backpack from my friend to walk the Camino de Santiago. Looks great but I'm only 1,58cm (5'1) and she's a bit taller, I saw in the website that is recommended for people from 1,70cm (5'5). Do you think it will be a big problem? It's either this high quality backpack or a lower quality but smaller 😅 (budget constraints) Thanks!!

It will affect where it sits on the hips. Just try it on with some stuff inside, maybe take it for a test walk, and you'll see if it will not work for you given a much longer trip.

Appreciate the review but the presenter's diction is absolutely terrible, he sounds as though he is swallowing the words and it comes across as gobbledegook! Sorry to have to say this but clicked off for this reason.

Nice review mate! I just purchased this exact model. I’m a field service engineer , on my feet for the best part of 8 hours a day, will these be comfortable?
@ColinNew-pf5ix4 ай бұрын
It's not that brilliant. It's not breathable, so a fair amount of condensation and it doesn't easily compact once opened. Almost double the size of the factory compressed size.

i have these boots . i do a lot of walking ... these are the worse boots ive ever spent money on . complete let down . can not go outside in the rain in these boots ... very very uncomfortably walking on the flat and down hill is dangerous . i have been wearing boots all my life at work and play . never been so let down and feel so lied to . .. the truth is no manufactures make good boots these days . 2010 was the time everyone started making crap boots and adverts full of lies .... can you make a video on walking in wet weather and how wet your feet are after 2 hours .. also gave me a Achilles heal injury like wearing high heel boot .. if it has gortex are need treating its not water proof

Had mine since 2011, uppers are still perfect but they need a resole having been worn for well over 1000 miles summer and with winter crampon use. Highly doubt I’d get that long out of the newer manta models, so I’m going for a resole overt a replacement .

@@geoffcresswell4815 yes I have mate and had no problems. Mine are the ones without the goretex lining in which helps. Goretex is another story I have never had any luck with goretex I find I’d doesn’t last particularly in boots and if they are fabric boots as opposed to leather once the goretex lining has worn through your boots are trash. Wonder if you have the more modern mantas which replaced these which had the goretex lining in them

I got one back in 2006 and it's still holding up well with no holes. However, the sleeve velcro straps have fallen off.
I've picked up myself a couple of pairs of these - can you or anyone else confirm what the outer later is on these. Seems they have some kind of waterproof layer on the outside of the shoe which looks a little strange to be honest. I do love the fit and comfort though. 10/10 on that side

I used this backpack for a five-day Pikey Peak trek recently, which included one steep climb to 4000 meters. I am a light packer, and the bag did well. However, I experienced a few issues: a) Hip belt rests in my stomach area (I am 170 cm tall), and adjustments didn't help. b) The shoulder pad worked well, but I wished it was a bit cushiony in case of heavier load. c)Adjusting the chest belt on the go is a pain, especially on the right side. d) Hip belt pockets are almost useless, and e) the "innovative" closure was great sometimes. Still, II preferred traditional closure, perhaps out of habit. I bought this online; if I were to try it on at the store, I wouldn't buy it because of the hip belt placing. I had used FjallRaven Abisko 35L for 10 years but realized 28 litres is plenty for me, so sold it second hand with another ten plus years of life. I missed my older pack during this trek, which is the first and perhaps the last with this backpack. Saying all that, this backpack is not a disappointment. However, I missed my trusty old rucksack. Now, I am back in the market again for a lightweight 28l pack.

I got a men’s large in oct 2020 on REI’s website right before they discontinued them. They are the best looking Patagonia rain jacket you can get under $200 for sure. Mine has done three hard winters and still looks brand new and works like it did day one and I haven’t even washed it yet (I use public washers so nervous) If you can find one, get it. Way smoother and stretchier than the Torrentshell and it’s also 3-layers.

I ordered 34" waist, R leg length and usually this is a good fit for me but these were very tight on the crotch and thighs, and due to the non-stretchy fabric having it on the tight side is not comfortable. They are very nice looking and very well made trousers so I have ordered a pair of 36R and will return these tight ones. I am really hoping going up a size will make these work as they seem perfect in every other way.
