Thanks for the broadcast. It would have been better to learn a lot more about WHY the cost over runs on the North Vancouver waste water plant came about. It's becoming a standard procedure in BC. Amost like it was planned that way.

no matter how many crimes exposed our government has been involved in, they are still all there in those positions that is destroying Canada, all this politicians motives are just like every other bottom feeder. fake programmed promises . we still have another year of Trudeau ! All the way through from 2018- 2024 this guy shows only how corrupt our government and all political parties that just blurt out what we want to hear the same cold attitude helping the wealthy to keep there wealth. We all see this. By how every year it is the ones old and disabled living on a fixed income that has not increased in ten years! Instead we get offered assisted death as our only way out of poverty added to our suffering. do you ever hear of any help for the ones effected over the years from any politician? why do you think there is so much depression and drug and alcohol abuse and extreme poverty? Greedy bottom feeders only comes to most of our thoughts.

Rather than address a serious issue in Canada, a country with huge forested areas, and doing what forestry scientists advise them to do, they blame everything on fake climate change and ignore historic weather patterns of hot, cold, droughts and floods. By doing so they endanger cities, towns, people, homes, and critical infrastructure. Nothing but complete and utter negligence and incompetance from this government.

They learned from tofino and port alberni when their fires blocked the community off for weeks due to slide risk after the fires last year. They ran out of supplies nothing was getting in or our and road closures went on for months. I wouldn’t wait for PP to become PM when your looking at a whole new season on the horizon. That community should be well stocked and prepared now.

@@peterbutz642 cause the population keeps going up by mostly Vancouver immigration. Also we get emissions from Seattle and LA in BC. I am on the island and spent a few weeks in the summer socked in by smoke from the California wild fires if we are getting their smoke you can’t deny we get their emissions. So I take offence to that comment. the entire west coast of BC. is especially environmentally conscious and we have no oil.

With the 8 billion dollars going to a liberal environmental slush fund with no results and accountability; that money could buy 27 Canadair CL-415 water bombers and give our military pilots valuable air time to practice flying skills. There are TWO MARS water bombers (mothballed by the Trudeau regime) and are located BC Aviation Museum, but again due to indifference by the NDP government, they failed to negotiate a contract with the private owners. And now Canada has wildfires burning tremendous amounts of forests that consume CO2 all because of indifference and pride of a government officials not buckling down to a private owner. So much for their cause to the environment! Pierre Poilievre is absolutely on the mark when it comes to forest fires and working with the aboriginal communities in these areas.

BC has a problem coordinating the manpower and equipment it has in place now. Crews told to stand down for a couple days, being pulled from a smaller easy to put out fire to go off somewhere else, leaving it to burn and grow. Enough stories have come out that it is pretty obvious that it is incompetence at best, part of the narrative at worst.

If you have Forest you will have fires, the BS that Climate Change is causing more fires is just hype. Forest management, not building homes in the forest and good management practices along with good fire fighting resources. I lived in Smithers and Terrace and fought fires 50 years ago.

Trudeau is again promising to do more as in commit "mMMmmillions" over 5 years etc for forest fire mitigation. On the tail end of the 2023 fire season, he returned home from his summer absence and vacations to stand in burned out remains of a forest fire, stated "his heart reaches out" and that "climate change is real" etc. He continues to doing nothing in between fire seasons to support the Liberal brand falsely claims that they care about Canadians, Canada's wilderness and the fight against climate change. Last year forest fires released 3x more carbon than the entire Cdn economy. He does not have to report these stats to the IPCC's as per the Paris Agreement because it is free to pollute forest fire smoke. Millions of Cdns will live in danger of losing their lives, property and workplaces to fire and smoke this year. 120 million acres of boreal forest and it's wild inhabitants went up Trudeau's chimney last year just for him to say he is sorry for our loss, climate change is real and that is why the Liberals politics are so important. Is Trudeau negligent? Is he a destructive eco-activist? Is he a Machiavellian authority? What he is not, is someone who works hard for Cdns , the environment and climate change.

Forest fires. Satellite infra red fire detection has been in place for well over 20 years. The satellite detection system replace forestry observation towers years ago. Those historical observations towers are on display in places like Falkland BC, Kaslo BC. The satellite detection system sends a signal to forestry department giving the exact location. When slashing and burning your required to inform the forestry department and permit #is issued. A helicopter with a water bag can be dispatched during the early detection.the fire can be out within the hour for roughly a cost of about $1500.00 use of helicopter and pilot coming out of any rural airport. Pilots thrive on being able to fly any pilot would jump at the opportunity.

Pierre is absolutely correct; in an annual report called "The State of the Forest in Canada" it states: "Drawing upon scientific evidence, data, and metrics, this report deconstructs the government’s overly positive portrayal of the Canadian forestry sector. It introduces the basic factors Canada omits from these annual reports to arrive at its self-congratulatory conclusions, presenting evidence that the actual state of the forests is far more complex and worrisome, and the logging industry far less sustainable, than the government claims." Basically it states that “The Federal Government Is Risking The Well-Being Of Future Generations By Failing To Accurately Report On The Degradation Of Forests In Canada." It also comes with a wide array of Policy Recommendation which are Transparent, Comprehensive, and Balanced. The problem is that the government doesn't seem interested in applying good forestry management, and instead would rather utilize poor forestry management to fuel their unscientific and often blatantly partisan climate change narratives. This is unacceptable, as the state of our Boreal Forest should be a top priority, because the Boreal Forest is the Earth's largest terrestrial carbon storehouse, storing 208 billion tons of carbon annually, or 11% of the world's total, whereas Canada only contributes 1.5% to the world's total. But we will NEVER hear of this from our current federal government, in fact they go through immeasurable means to keep information such as this out of the public eye. WHY ? I would go into it, but I think you already know Why !

An issue affecting taxpayers is long unfinished road projects. The Graham Avenue Reconstruction Project is currently 300 days overdue. This project has so heavily impacted the residents of Graham Avenue for the last year and a half. Residents need a commitment to complete the work begun under this Council's term. This project wouldn't have been allowed to go a year and a half if it was downtown, on the bench, or Mayor and Councilors lived on the street. Is this project an indication of the voice you intend to give to taxpayers on important issues?

When this video was made City Council had earmarked $1.6 million and 14 weeks to rebuild 650 meters of Graham Avenue. Over a year later it's still not finished. The street is still a mess. The residents and businesses have been run through the ringer. The City is doing nothing to make it right. Managing projects like this, no wonder they don't have enough money. The current budget to finish the 650m is $4.471 million!! At that rate it would cost $585 million to rebuild Terrace's 85km of roads! :-0
