Hi, I didn’t use an adapter since the AWE Catback was already 3.5” in diameter Hope this helps!

12k miles for me before I swapped in a ttrs pressure plate and b7 a4 disc. I am at stage 2 now and it holds fine.

When you had this setup on your car, were you able to simply piece the two together? On the websites I saw something about the cts dp being 3.5" and the awe track cbe being 3"

Hey Philipp, yes I had no issues piecing the 2 together. The CTS DP and the AWE exhaust are pieced together by the stock sleeve that holds the OEM catback and DP together.

I'm planning on ordering the parts soon, and am just making sure that it's what you were looking for/expected before I make the purchase haha. I want this setup to make a noticeable difference to stock that would make it worth the money, but I also don't want it to be obnoxious.

Hey Philipp; yes I'm currently still running this setup on my 17' DSG Sport GTI. I don't think I'd have it any other way. I purchased the DP directly from CTS Turbo and the AWE Catback from modded euros. When I got the exhaust for my 15" GTI they had actually sent me the resonator section first separately as well to that would convert it into an AWE touring edition (not sure if that was a mistake or not) so I also have that option sitting in my garage cabinet as well. You'll first hear a noticeable difference off of a cold start but once you start cruising and car warms up, it is very civil and loud only when you step on it:)

Hey Jeff just curious was your exhaust much louder when you did the combined your exhaust with your cts downpipe because I just bought the AWE Tuning track exhaust for my MK7 and installed my exhaust this past Saturday but I've noticed that it's pretty quiet for having no resonator. It's not bad at all but I just wanted to make sure do I have to break it in first and once I do, will I notice a difference with the sound?

JR14 it was quiet at first too when I put it on but the downpipe definetley makes a difference. The exhaust gets loud at the higher rpm's without a doubt but sounds civil when you're cruising. Check out my new vid for some clips with WOT!

Louis4357 only drone when your on the pedal highway speed. Other than that if you're coasting you shouldn't hear anything!

johnny smith I wasn't running a tune for months but I do have the O2 sensor spacer in there that is available from CTS Turbo and I've never got a CEL while I was stock.

Best video sample of this exhaust I've seen thus far. I'm getting mine installed Friday! So stoked. I know the videos don't do it justice, but from your personal experience, how noticeable is the difference from stock?

Hi John, To be honest. when the car is warmed up it's not that noticeable of a difference. It's def louder but not annoying enough to wake the neighbors up. However, this was exactly what I was gunning for though; something loud on a wide open throttle, but civil enough to cruise around town on the daily! See my new video of it paired with the CTS Turbo Catted DP!
