Beautifully done! Excellent job! Yeah, u definitely need to do more MGS themes. Heck, James Bond comes to mind also. For your eyes only sung by Sheena Easton I think you would absolutely crush out of the park. Keep up the excellent work. Love to hear more. Ty for the link in the other post that brought me here. 🤟🤘❤️

I despise that war criminal/murderer Jaina so much that I can't take any pleasure in this beautiful song. I was so furious that Blizzard had her use Mary-Sue magic to escape when we had her downed (after a fight which her modest magic ability couldn't really have done).

Awesome cover! The people who have covered this song add a layer of uniqueness and different takes. It sounds refreshing to listen to the different approaches. Sharm have you lostened to Queensryche version? Geoff Tate was one of those untouchable singers in his prime. Great job! Here check Queensryche version when you have free time. @@sharmsong I hope you enjoy it. Your version reminds me a little bit of Leaves Eyes version. Liv Kristine was the singer of Theatre of Tragedy and Leaves Eyes. They did a live acoustic version of it as well. The regular version is here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pcdofq13x8q1omg.htmlsi=A92xezVeIX3In59T I also noticed you sing video game song adaptions. I have to ask if you will try and do MGS ( Metal Gear Solid ) I think the end track titled the Best is Yet To Come or Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater self titled track you may excel in. Worth a shot.. I believe in you and I know others do. Any other covers of music you will try in the future? Ty for your reply by the way. Keep rocking!!

Sharm, idk if you will read this but I would love to see you branch more into Forgotten realms content. There is so much lore to pull from that you could use to mold your music. Gods and Goddesses galore. Culture, architecture, Religion you name it they got it. You did some Baldur’s Gate stuff but thats only the tip of the iceburg for DnD.
@sharmsong
@sharmsong 10 күн бұрын
Sounds interesting. I like to think my music is abstract enough that it could be considered for certain aspects of DnD. Personally, I've not delved into the Forgotten Realms enough to be able to write lyric focused music on it but its certainly not something I'd ever rule out if inspiration took me :)

This is a marvelous chant, in both words and key! As a real sunset. Great job as always, Sharm! :) Please, more stuff like that! Though I feel a bit awkward... maybe it's just me, but the motif probably sounds more oriental than it probably should be. Don't get me wrong, I like that chant, but it feels very untypically warm, hot as it were in an arid desert maybe, but not like in a country of eternal spring...
@sharmsong
@sharmsong 12 күн бұрын
I love your interpretation of this, regardless! It does have a sort of "Egyptian" vibe going on for sure, but I quite like the solemnity of it to represent the weight of "farewell" 🖤

Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with Greek. Blizzard created several languages including several elven languages and, for this one, the origin is the name of the land Quel'Thalas which was founded by a group of exiled Highborne elves. Rejecting their old habits, names and even their worship, they founded this land and named it "Quel'Thalas", which means "High Home". So "Thalas" would mean "home". But the inspiration of Blizzard might have come from Greek, who knows?
@xristosimprezas5006
@xristosimprezas5006 11 күн бұрын
@@BarthelemyDworkin ah thank you,i was more sure cause it had 2 s like the greek word θαλάσσα-thalassa,if you write it on english form its exactly the same!also thalasian is another word θαλασσινος-η-ο etc
@BarthelemyDworkin
@BarthelemyDworkin 11 күн бұрын
@xristosimprezas5006 when Blizzard released Warcraft 2 in the 90s they introduced the elves for the first time. Christ Metzen wrote a huge lore back then, as you can find in the game's manual, and it mentioned the Quel'Thalas kingdom for the first time. But it is only in the early World of Warcraft years that they used the word "thalassian" as blood elves language, as it just derives from Quel'Thalas. I personally think Blizzard was more inspired by Tolkien when they created those words, but the phonology has some undeniable similarities with modern Greek.

I enjoyed it an could imagine you reading two to three chapters of lord of the rings and singing fantastically to it, but i find this song and video needed multiple sections of silence to sound better, as if it fit the slow movements of the pandas it just needed a bit more spacing at the end of each verse, but fantastic voice as always and props to the composer.
