Exactly. I have noticed for years, the inability to pronounce the word "ask". Also "liberry"

I really got value from this. Sad thing is no one is talking about this. This last week my relationship with my girlfriend went sour because used one if these labels with me. But I am working on it.

? I’m confused about this experience as I listen to this questioning sequence in the opening. There is a duality, an insecurity that’s immense. He asks a question but then just skips the response like it was not a long question he just asked. And is that Dr. Gabor’s normal, that people don’t refer to him as Dr during speaking engagements. But it’s interesting that Dr. Gabor Mate slows his tempo even more as if he is attempting to calm and center the host or balance him.

Curious to know how the body figures in to parts work. Can the body be a “part”? For example, if one feels exhausted and run down, and there is a part who drives the system to work hard, would we let the body talk and say “hey, I’m tired!” Then ask the driving part “what would happen if you didn’t push so hard”… etc…
@crowekirstin19 күн бұрын
Yes! I'm not trained or anything but I obsessively research in my own time, it's all I do, and IFS is naturally pairing with Somatic therapies like somatic experiencing and you do exactly what you describe, connect to parts through body sensations. 😊

That is a weak postulate that the child is "unconscious." Of course, it isn't true. What if the question had been, "My child was not paying attention?" That most likely is true. But, is it fair to hold the child responsible for an action with high probability of happening?

Interested in the next, spiritual level of this conversation? We are excited to share on our channel a groundbreaking interview with Dick, with the below description. In this fascinating conversation, Dick discusses for one of the first times the spiritual implications of working with parts of self. In line with many traditions of the ancient world, we appear to have many parts that we are not consciously aware of. Though most of those parts belong to us, and are best integrated and healed, some parts do not. It is these that need to be removed, and their apparent sentient nature shakes up much of what current, scientific psychology is willing to see and accept. No matter what your views, you will be fascinated by Dick’s honest report of his decades of experience working first-hand at the crossroads of psychology and spirituality. Clinical evidence has shown that IFS works, and it is one of the most widely trained psychotherapy interventions today. We cannot, then, easily dismiss Dick’s wealth of clinical experience. The implications of this conversation are immense and only beginning to be understood. Deep gratitude to both Dick and his guides for their willingness and clarity in giving this thirsted-for guidance to the psychedelic provider community.

Those who are mad at Katie are very stuck in their ego. The lack of ego does not reinforce more ego. Katie's ego is gone. She's trying to wake up a sleeping man whose ego has him stuck in selfishness.

The healthcare system is dominated by pharmaceutical companies, which formulate drugs, hospitals and physicians that promote these drugs, and pharmacists who dispense them. Each entity receives its share from this profitable industry and marketing. Suppose the primary aim of these business stakeholders was to treat patients. Why are necessary long-term medications for chronic autoimmune diseases so expensive and inaccessible that only the privileged can afford them? Others may suffer and die in silence.

I love these conversations! Thank you Soren and Alanis. I also grapple with that question Alanis talked about: "how do I discern between intuition and a feeling that might not be ideal to chase." I've just started looking into polyvagal theory with my therapist and hoping this will help! And of course, conversations like these - and all of Alanis' songs help immensely 💛

at 36:21, very well pronounced by Jon. Just to correct the auto-text spelling: The Chinese word for the Mindfulness now is pronounced and spelled as "Nian"(4th intonation ending with a low tone like the word "now", as clearly and precisely pronounced by Jon), the Chinese character is written as "念" (top part is "today" meaning now, lower part is the "heart").
