Thankyou so much. I took a bit of an informed guess but which side the different plugs for the heating sensor would have been good 🤔got a bit concerned I put them on the wrong sides (or if there even is a wrong way). Thankyou though! Appreciate the video

I bought one of these and will extend the handle to roast coffee over fire in the wood cook stove. Much less messy with the chaff.

Any knowledgeable folks here know what I’d need to convert a 220v machine for the Italian market to work in the UK? It technically works but roasts very quickly.

Recently bought a used Gene Cafe and proactively ordered some parts for maintenance. Thanks for posting these videos showing how to keep it going!

How to remove the separator? Can't seem to pull it out. I think it's latched on the bottom part.

Sure would of been nice to see how the inlet sensor is removed and installed, wracking my brain in pure frustration

Hello - unfortunately there is no way to change from F to C on the display. We hope this is included in the next round of improvements.

I love my Gene Cafe which I’ve been enjoying a little over a year and a half now. This summer I’ve started roasting outdoors on our open porch. I haven’t been using the chaff collector at all out there. I assume this is okay. Is it?

David Bergin do You know what the heat source is in your Gene café? Like a heat gun or more like a bed toaster e.g.?
@davidbergin6184
@davidbergin6184 5 жыл бұрын
Morten Sander I could be wrong, but I believe the heat is generated on the right side of the machine, passes through the glass drum with the beans and exits via the chaff collector on the left. It can create a good deal of heat, approximately 482 degrees. Hope this helps.

Hi David! After 4,5 years, are you still happy with it? I'm just using a Weber gas grill with rotisserie, but no visual control unless I lift the lid and let the heat out . . .

Thanks a lot for this video! It's nice to be able study the construction and build quality before purchasing a machine. In comparison, my old Hearthware I-Roast is a nightmare to service internally. This one looks much easier. I will proceed and order a CBR-101 today!

I ordered a replacement cord, fuse assembly and fuse because the fuse assembly melted where the Powercord clips onto it. I can't seem to figure out how to get the old cord out without damaging the ring around it that holds it in place (I assume I need to reuse that part). Any chance on getting a video showing replacement of the power cord and/or fuse assembly?
