I bought a very thick one and I would wear it in colder weather. I haven't worn it in the spring, but if I did, I'd most likely end up holding it because it's really thick 😆

I had a bookshop in Ohio wherein shelter cats were fostered and then adopted by customers. More than 50 were adopted from my shop over the years. I then wrote a series of novels about the experience (Shelve Under C: A Tale of Used Books and Cats is the first) to encourage other shops to look into fostering dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. The business that took over my location continued to foster, thankfully.

Why objects over people on covers ? Do you feel it ruins the character as the reader imagines them?

Great question! People on covers don’t necessarily “ruin” the characters for me, but sometimes I imagine a character, and I don’t see them the same way as the person on the cover. I also prefer objects on covers to people because there are often easter eggs or hints to moments that we read in the story 🥰
