@@RBXROCKah ok, yes the old school “clamp and step” doesn’t really apply anymore. Players are too fast, sticks too flexible and we are spaced off the line. So stepping severely slows up your hands ability to clamp.

Hey Greg, I've been pondering something this whole season. Jake Naso Duke fogo, his wrist is curled where his knuckles are touching the ground. I know mechanically we don't want to coach that to kids but if they have top tier wrist speed should we let them curl their wrist or really emphasize not curling the wrists and stick to mechanics. Thanks for your time.
@GregBeast32

I get this kind of question a lot. I think I'm different than most folks because I never ask the question "Is this person successful?" I always ask "Is this person as successful as they CAN be?" There are plenty of FO men that have success doing the things they do. But all of them would be even better (And less injury prone) If they used the absolute best mechanics and technique. Can you win clamps rolling your wrist? Of course. Is it as effective as doing it with a vertical wrist? Absolutely not. Jake has had an impressive and incredible career at Duke. That's what's scary. If he had improved mechanics and slightly better stance, He would have been flat out unstoppable.

The FaceOff Academy App in the App store. It allows you to listen to completely randomized cadences so you can train your reaction as well as take live reps with friends. Only way to get better at reacting.

Is this exercise a side deltoid focused movement that can be used as a substitute or replacement for traditional dumbbell or machine side raises? Is this variation optimal for focusing on side deltoid hypertrophy? The movement sort of looks like - what I'd call - a cross body anterior deltoid front raise. That being said - I'd love to be able to replace traditional side raises - because that specific plain of motion - done starting at my sides - does not agree with my shoulder joints what so ever.

@GregBeast32
@GregBeast32 8 ай бұрын
To improve your reaction on FO’s you need to drill and take reps as much as possible with completely randomized cadences. Example: listening to playlist of whistles causes you to start memorizing the cadences, so it actually harms your ability to react.
