Hello ! Man what is this !! Haven't seen any retro hhd more clean than this ! No dupes , incredible setup always with game cover photos and gameplay video to get an idea of what the game looks like, and the fact that it looks like it does when its 100tb plus , list of games its actually insane ! I cant imagine how long it took to do that . The choice of controllers and just everything about this is just perfect !! Man gzz really this is just wow !!! One thing i dint see is the complete number of games of each list but maybe it was shown on bottom left where your camera was ?? Also favourite list ? Where you can access games easier by adding/removing games from favourites ?? Also do you have discord ? Id like to join and also buy this hhd when you finally make it to sell !

Hi Mr. @Aces Can you publish your data folder of your Launchbox? Your 100TB archive is really magnificent. I want to make 1G1R USA romset for all systems. But some packs really crumbled. The data folder only contains only Games, Platform and Emulators data. It does not include a license or any personal information. Your system looks soo good.

For retroarch, they're all individual retroarch folders. So for xinput, all of its cores have their remap files stored as overrides. So then for a retroarch dinput folder, mirroring xinput, it would have its own separate remap overrides unique to it. So no ahk needed! Hope that kind of makes sense lol

Great setup. Mine is similar to yours but only 30TB. If you are an RPG fan I noticed you are missing the Dragon Force II translated version JPN to English on Saturn. It is an essential for Sega Saturn. Trust me Dragon Force and Dragon Force II are worth a play!!! Keep gaming sir!!!!!

Any chance you will ever show how you managed to get launchbox to allow for controller selection? Also was curious if you are able to get tekno parrot roms to run in 4K. I have the full roms set but all the info I read says you have to run them in 1080 p to avoid errors. What are your thoughts good sir?

I'm very interested in how You manage controller setups (i.e. connecting them via bluetooth, other modes a controller might have, and having them auto connect to whatever emulator you have) and how you streamline that, tutorials on that would be very illuminating!!

Thanks! So I took a look and it's a Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor, MSI PRO B650-P Motherboard, 32GB DDR5-5600, GeForce RTX 3070. 8TB or so of this is on SSD, which holds mostly the media and emulators and some romsets before I started getting larger drives. It's also a bit OC'd, ram is at 6200, CPU is undervolted, GPU clocked a bit higher, etc. The recording impacts performance a bit too. I'll have to touch on that sometime later too!

Thank you! I think Kris and his Retrobeast project are great; he has some really cool ideas! Seeing both of our approaches to a huge setup like this is fun to watch and compare. Hopefully it gives some perspectives and ideas to work into your own setup, in fact, time to go watch and see what Kriscoolmod has been up to lately!

Mine is around 10 years+ old so dont remember, but I'll let everyone know how much the one I'll rebuilt will cost :) That being said, if you want something that functions the same, find any reseller using an IPAC-4 arcade board (or anything that just sends keyboard strokes id imagine, bonus if it has a switch to change it from keyboard to a joystick input mode!!) in their panel. If it can do that, you can replicate what I have. My trackball, Spinner and the panel are 3 usb cables that go into the pc. Slap that on some table like I did and it should be good to move around! The cables mine came with were rather long already. Lots of builders seem to slap a pc inside these arcade decks though so keep that in mind.

Hmm! Well, I had experience using Hyperspin and autohotkey prior to this and general emulator knowledge for a few years. But from "What's a Launchbox?" to the point of the first video I uploaded was about 6-7 months of work. This was starting fresh nuking any previous romset and config I had, finding out what a sinden lightgun is etc, then basically watching all the great youtubers out there showing their own builds, taking ideas I enjoyed and working them into this!

An arcade package that is planned out and is setup less "traditional" and more incorporating Launchbox specific ideas, shortcuts, media on multiple interactive monitors, menu interactions, the discovery center, etc would be super cool and I'm sort of working towards that. I'm also looking for ways to take cool ideas from this setup to just share, like the sinden launch script in my other videos. I'll see how that goes!

That sounds like it must be one single large drive! For this setup here, I actually use a few USB external 18 GB drives that were on sale, with about 8TB of this setup being SSD for media and emulators

Doesn't the game hit you some times? that is, it goes at 60 fps but freezes for 1 second constantly

No don't seem to recall that happening in my version. I'd start looking at vsync settings though first if I saw that myself

There's quite a mix of themes! The main ones in use are forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/4041-vision/ for the main screens, which loads into forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/929-coverbox/ after selection. Mine was in Spanish at the start actually, I believe I bound a button in Teknoparrot to enter System settings, clicked around here and there is an English option. Once you save it from the menu and back out, the next time the game launches it should be and stay in English!

Neither actually! It's a custom image I worked on personally over a few months using Launchbox and Windows, the other videos I've uploaded go into more details if you're curious!
