For a concrete floor do you putting the heating mat first or the underlay? I have read different opinions on this.

Hi @MusicalRissy13Lovings, you'll want to put insulation down first to ensure you get more efficiency out of your system. Hi @calumhartley2989, this thermostat can't be controlled via the app. The Bluetooth Programmable and SmartHome thermostats can via the app.

App pretty confusing and inconsistent. When entering days of the week defaults to Mon only on even when previously set all days on? Doesn’t inspire confidence that its been set. Am I to assume if 2 events are set that 1st is on time and 2nd is off time say 7-9am ? Also App shows flame symbol whenever in schedule mode. Also what does bottom, button do (App)? I assume On/Off but of what exactly? Would be helpful to actually know if the floor is on or off in these energy saving times… needs an overhaul as very poor design and user feedback as to what is actually happening. Manual makes no reference to App control at all.

Still no way to “view” the schedule as soon as you enter edit mode it clears the screen and starts with Monday. So trying to enter week day and different weekend events and view what they are seems impossible. Worst App ever.

Hi, we always recommend 10mm of insulation underneath, this improves efficiency by up to 50%.

Hi, thanks for your question. They are 100% efficient but heat pump companies claim 300%. It depends on the application, as installing a heat pump is not always practical or affordable, so electric direct heating is a good option. Hi @Dennis Fowler, the example shown in the video is for illustrative purposes, as the real life installation will be different depending on the individual site. You could connect the neutral as you described but you would need to make sure all cables are suitably rated for the load in that part of the circuit. Hi do I need a contactor as well as a snubber or is it an all in one unit. Could I take cable from fuse board to snubber from snubber to spur and then thermostat? I don’t have the other 2 Spurs like in the video

Hi @@paulneary703, the ThermoSphere Contactor Snubber is supplied all in one unit. You could buy any suitably sized contactor and snubber separately though. The snubber is the little black component wired across the contactor. If you don't have the fused spurs for each heating mat/cable, as shown in the video, you can connect the L/N/E of the heating cable cold tail back to the contactor. It's good to have a fused spur protecting your heating mat though, so that the heating cable doesn't have the potential to pull the full current load.
