new blood key ilawa, we simply don't have the best 11 people in the country playing. we've seen what australia does. they deploy the most skilled, in-form, & experienced players in every slot they have. so if amir can play, why not mir hamza? he has 2 years of his career left, maybe even shaheen should be dropped for a bit and be asked to work on an outswinger to the righthander, and in the meantime mir hamza should be used. in batting i don't know who to add - but please subtract all these players who have NOTHING performances in their past 10, 20, 30 matches. shadab, iftikhar, imad and all else. and i know we still won't become world beaters after this as our talent pipeline is pretty dry, but like newzaland and south africa we would atleast consistently threaten the top 4 slots in major tournaments

Additionally, I am also an ardent lover of urdu poetry and pakistani talk shows help me with language. However in light of latest attacks at Reasi and subsequent claim of Pakistan based LET Outfits have greatly shook my faith in Pakistani shows. You guys are also in some way responsible by not calling out your state and it's utmost cowardice acts of cross border terrorism. Odyssey of a Pakistani Cricket fan. I am neither going to give my two cents on this team nor do I have a panacea to give to the PCB, which has a part time Chairman and a selector, who never had a stable place in the team. But I may want to layout how it affects the fans and how you cannot take it for granted anymore. When this team wins and wins big, the following happens (perhaps you can relate too): 1. It's like Eid. As an immigrant, I want to go out and meet random Pakistanis on the streets of Canada and discuss the match. For no reason at all I would want to celebrate with them over chai or karhai. 2. The next day I would discuss the match with my Canadian colleague, who doesn't even know what cricket is. I don't want to explain them about cricket but to make the point that my Country did something. That we are good at something, and we love Cricket. 3. I want to find that random Indian fellow and chant "Mauka Mauka" and laugh. Yes we will never be the team that can compete yours (possibly never again) and neither we can compete our neighbor on any avenue, but for the time being, I want to stand in front of them with pride that can solely come from this game. God knows that we don't put any hopes on the men who play the game of thrones, and force our youth to migrate. 4. Personally there is a rush of energy that lasts for days. I want to rush to the gym or go out for a long run. Maybe you want to dance with the children in the house and make noise so the neighbors can hear. 5. It reminds us when we played the game in our streets and schools. Makes us recall friends who we didn't hear from in a while. We try to grasp on the fading nostalgia and wish it never leaves. We like to pretend that we know these boys as our own blood. They need to understand that the reason we are so ruthless in ripping their career to shreds is that they are living the dreams of so many and they are paid for it. When they lose without a fight they take all of the above away and reminds us the shit Pakistanis put up with every day. They could have been accountants, engineers or in the army, but they chose this. They know what they signed up for and what this means. If this game dies, so would Imran Khan, Waqar, Wasim and all other legends of the game. It would take just one generation, and you can truly kill any iota of pride we have to be Pakistanis. No matter what passport we hold, the host nations would never truly accept us. We know what Pakistan is for us. Please, please, PLEASE don't do this. 🙏 Long after the death of this game in our country, when PSL will be spectale for empty seats, and our own children would not care about the 1992 world cup, deep down we would still bleed green, and we can't help it. It's more than a game and we want to save it. We just don't know how?
