I’m so sorry you weren’t diagnosed right away! I’ve had Lyme for 36 years. I was infected on 3 different Falls: 1987,1988,1989. We lived in a suburb of Buffalo, NY, but it wasn’t until we moved to Southern CA that the bottom dropped out for me. By that time I’d had the disease for 12 years! After 2 years, God led me to a Lyme Specialist 2.5 hours from our home. I got the correct antibiotics from him and, later after he retired, from my first primary care doctor who had tried very hard to figure out what I had. I felt great after 2 years of Herxeimer’s reactions every two weeks. But I had to change doctors and she took me off the antibiotics. My symptoms continue. Every few months or years another one crops up and I adjust to a new “normal.” First it was a cane. Now, it’s a rolling walker. I’m praying I won’t need a wheelchair anytime soon! My husband and kids (43, almost 41 and just turned 38) have all been wonderful in their support❤️. I’m praying for you! God is with you even if you feel He’s not! My middle daughter also had Lyme since she was 2.5 years old, but 2.5 years on just Amoxicillin, and she was cured. I know God can cure any disease, but He has a different plan for me.
