Awesome video! I have the Heartstopper from Hollywood Collectibles and from United Cutlery. The UC one is thicker, heavier, and already has the right colored scales. But both knives are great.

The origin of Saw Backed Survival Knives is the Calamus ASEK, which stands for Aircrew Survival Egress Knife. The saw back was for cutting your way out of the aluminum fuselage. Then once you were free of the wreckage you had a knife to survive with.

The only custom makers using aluminium for hollow handles are those from Pakistan. Anyone who knows anything about the construction of these knows you need stronger metal than aluminium.

Esta bueno ese machete pero ese tipo de empuñadura al machetear por un rato te lastima la mano lo digo por qué hice cuchillos con esa empuñadura y cuando lo llevé a la práctica me lastimó estéticamente queda muy bien la única que hay es usar guantes🔪🤠🤜🤛

Great job, Mark! The HCG Heartstopper is the most ugly version of the MK-9. Hate the frog green plastic scales! But now? Beautiful!

Had I know about the UC version, I would not have bought the HCG. All my other Rambo knives were UC, but I have since replaced the First Blood and Rambo mission with HCG versions.

I am happy, that i have the Pohl Force MK-9, so that i could sell the HCG Heartstopper. What i really love is the First Blood Knife from UC. Taiwan Made. I have put it in a Francesco Nova lefthanded sheath.

Too bad you don't have a Gerber BMF w/ sawtooth. That was by far my favorite. The little known Buckmaster LT was a great one as well. I had a Parker Brothers copy of the Gerber Mark 2 w/ Green handle & Green leather sheath that someone stole. Also had the Rambo 3 knife. Best decade for knifes! Stallone made the knife & archery
