I think the reason the Hollywood isn't as sturdy is because you have to finish it with a manual pump.
@kennethviolette8486Ай бұрын
Probably should gave put water in it then test the sturdiness
@zacharyatkinson84622 ай бұрын
The reason why that’s soft is cause you don’t have water in it. You put water in it, and it will be more solid.

I had the Coleman tub only lasted one year.Im on my 3rd year with the Hollywood. The Hollywood is built the way it is because it has built in led lights that light the whole tub up inside and the outside the flames light up.
@austinburke19689 ай бұрын
Great review! But it probably would’ve been a little more accurate to fill both tubs up. I’m sure the pressure of the water up against the inside walls would’ve given the Hollywood more stability.

You just take the hose off the adapter and blow it up manually till it's nice and firm then it's great and if you're not worried about Frost then the thinner wall doesn't matter I bet it looks pimpin at night. I have the thicker one it freezes around here.
@Pakmann2k Жыл бұрын
Iike the video but.. when you add water, the weight and pressure of the water compresses the air in the walls, making the walls firm. That's why the air pump will not allow you to go past as certain pressure, if you made it firm, empty, it would burst at the seams when you put water in it..

Awesome Review. My biggest take away was the stability, I've been wanting one just worried that they were to flimsy. Looks like the Coleman is the better choice. Thanks

5:05 dude, you can't compare a full and empty tub like that, because the full one gets it's strength from the water pressure!

Next time I drain it to clean it, I’ll shoot a video of me sitting on the side. The water being in it has almost no effect.
@3DPeter Жыл бұрын
@@MmmMikeyLikey all these infaltables come with that special hose to inflate the tub, and that has holes at the bottom connection and they are meant for blow off the over pressure, so that you just can't blow up the tub too hard because when you fill it up with water, the pressure of the water will push against the sidewalls,and when they are pumped up too hard they could ripp, so the water pressure does make a difference alright. Now full up that hollywood tub and you will see that it's more stable than when it was empty.

@@3DPeter Good, don't try to explain it. You won't be able to... The water depth is about 2 feet so at the very bottom, the water pressure is .866lbs per square inch and decreases as you rise toward the surface. Our Coleman Saluspa Miami lasted 2 years. It would have actually lasted longer but I think how I lifted it to drain caused one of the seams at the bottom to fail and leak. I have the Palm Springs coming to replace it. :)

We had a Coleman Saluspa Miami that was going on 2 1/2 years. It was an excellent first choice for beginners. We learned a lot. So when researching for a new one, I read some good reviews on the Coleman Palm Springs. We are all set up, just waiting for the heat to get up to 104, & we are ready! It's definitely made with stronger material, & the way the hoses are tucked inside instead of outside is way easier. You're not stepping over them or on them when changing filter or locking the cover straps down. It's deeper, well made, & we can't wait to try it out!! Thank you for you're video, it helped me decide also!

I sat on the Coleman without water in it. Others have said they have the Hollywood and it doesn’t sag like the on I had. I think it might have had a hole in it. Even the specs on the box has the Hollywood listed as 2” shorter than the Coleman on their listed dimensions.

I sat on the Coleman before putting water in it. As others have said, theirs don’t sag like the one I had. I’m thinking the one I bought might have had a hole in it somewhere. Several reviewers on Walmart mentioned there’s leaked air the first time they inflated. However, they are definitely not the same material as the holleywood uses a translucent material so the colored lights shine through. If you don’t believe me, find one of each and compare them.

Ive got the Hollywood. Mine's does not sag at all when I sit on the edge. I can see a huge difference in the sag on your Hollywood. I would not be happy with that either. The one here is as solid as your Coleman and firm. Wondering if you have a defect on that one. 140 jets on the Hollywood. Was wondering how many the Coleman has? I know Coleman has their Salu-spas manufactured in Bestway factories so They have to be very close in quality.
