Hey Jack! very good, useful and explanatory video you got in here, appreciated a lot. But one thing I noticed about the printing that you use to demonstrate the systems. The quarter-turn fasteners there represented in there as not thightened, they need to be represented as 0 degrees, not 45 degrees as they are there. Wladimir Dzus (RIP) invented those and named them as Dzus receptacles + Dzus Rails. The simplicity and breaktrough fasteners they are. You only need a flat screwdriver and within 8 seconds to install & remove the whole panel. And as I can see form here that within a wake turbulance some of panels on overhead panel will fell down :) love & respect !

Very good. Actually quite similar to the 737 with the exception of ditching, Flight control computers, RAT and a bit of the 320 hydraulic system.

This is one of the best A 320 flight sim videos ..amazing level of detail , crisp clear narration , ( nice you did it with engine noise practically out ).. I live in Hyderabad India ..and is an avid aviation enthusiast ( Sim ) . ..so glad to watch a real airbus pilot patiently taking us thro a complete flight , parking to parking .. Thanks again . Good explaining, but you missed AC ESS FEED at battety sector for what do you need this button?
@tomstravels520
@tomstravels520 10 ай бұрын
It switches the AC ESS source from AC BUS 1 to AC BUS 2. Mainly used if AC BUS 1 fails. In old Airbus it had to be pushed to switch but now it's automated . Only have to push if automation doesn't work.

Did you find why autoland light was flashing ?
@danielwong7280
@danielwong7280 6 ай бұрын
The autoland light flashed due to a failure in the system preventing an autoland from being conducted, as you can also see that the FMA disappeared (the AP 1 + 2 and A/THR disappeared, indicating that the autopilot and auto thrust has failed). This was followed by the 3 warning chirps, also known as the Calvary charge.

do you have a written checklist? starting to fly an A320
@busdriverjack3248
@busdriverjack3248 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I have printed off my company's checklist to use in the sim however, they are pretty standard and can be found with a Google Search. Fun fact, A320 has just changed their SOPs within the last month, with this there is a new checklist. The old one's are all over the web. To distinguish the two, old SOPs have an "After Takeoff/Climb Checklist", new SOPs do not. Hope this helps! Happy flying!

Is it possible to go straight from a Cessna with 1500 hours experience to the airbus a320?
@busdriverjack3248
@busdriverjack3248 2 жыл бұрын
With some additional training, I would say yes it is. Different regions require different requirements. My guess is with some additional training (a320 Type Rating) and an airline happy to take "non jet time", it would be possible. All the best!

why there is buttons with 2 dots at upper and 2 dots at lower, what is the difference?
@busdriverjack3248
@busdriverjack3248 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Toriq, sorry it took so long to reply. If you haven't found the answer already then here it is! Each pushbutton on the Airbus has either one or two lights. - The upper light is dedicated to an alert or the system's status (i.e. FAULT or OPEN). If this is not applicable then it is replaced with two grey dots. - The lower light corresponds to the control selection of a system after pressing the pushbutton (i.e. ON, OFF, OVRD). If this is not required then it is replaced with two grey dots. The general rule is a "light out" philosophy. A dark cockpit is ready and fit to fly! All the best!

Great - like these type of videos... one thing - missed AC ESS feed - what does that do?
@busdriverjack3248
@busdriverjack3248 2 жыл бұрын
Great question! The AC ESS (AC Essential Bus) is usually supplied by Gen 1 via AC Bus 1. In case of Gen 1/AC Bus 1 failure, the AC ESS can then be supplied by Gen 2 via AC Bus 2. The aircraft can be fitted with "Auto switching" meaning in the case of that failure, it would swap buses automatically for us. The pushbutton is to manually switch which Bus is feeding the AC ESS. Also, when we push this pushbutton, the DC ESS (DC Essential Bus) is then supplied via the ESS TR (Essential Transformer Rectifier) via the AC ESS. Normally the DC ESS is supplied via the Batteries in Normal Configuration. Hope this helps!

They're all plastic toys compared to the real thing my friend. This is however a lot more like the real deal compared to the Thrustmaster Warthog if that's what you're referring to, this just makes a better simulator experience having buttons in similar places as on the actual aircraft. Happy New Year!
