the tank came with two machineguns only there is'nt any missing ,it was to have three machine guns but the crews complained that there is not enough space in the crampt compartment ,so it was decided to juggle one around ,for internal selfdefense or as anti air defense/ground defense .First to prototypes were American build and shipped with out the turrets to the Soviet union , US changed the law on dealing with the Siviet Union and should never have left but they were by a couple off days to late Cristie knew this and shipped them as Tractors hence no turrets .

Okay, M35A2 was introduced in the 60's and had multifuel engines, I drove them, I worked on them, and now I own one, a 1967 Kaiser/Jeep M35A2 with a Continental LDT-465-1D engine The M35A2 is commonly powered by an LDT 465 engine, made by either Continental Motors Company, Hercules, or White Motor Company. It is an in-line, 478-cubic-inch (7.8 L), six-cylinder, turbocharged multifuel engine developing 134 bhp
@mullinscl2 ай бұрын
I also drove one for a little while when I was in the Army in Fort Hood. I was actually a M1A1 crewman but we all had to do our time in support. Honestly I don't know if it was an A2 but I know it was very old and we ended up turning it in for a 5 ton in '99

If you have an airbrush you can seal all the decals in with the clear floor polish or rattle can(pledge, but it's not available anymore) Finescale Modeller has a comparison video. O
@mullinscl2 ай бұрын
I don't use an airbrush. Everything is done be hand. Normally I use micro sol and micro set and then it gets a clear coat from Revell or Tamiya

Other than not filling and sanding the gaps before painting the aircraft looks pretty good. The decals being chipped gives it a war Worn look.

I used to not fill and sand at all. Just too much at work and not having a lot of free time it was all just speed builds and I got what I got out of the box. I'm trying now to do a more thourough job with things though. Thanks for watching

This Mirage... Whats in the box? Old Monogram model. Mirage from Kinetic is much better.😄
@mullinscl3 ай бұрын
First, of course it's a rebox of Monogram because at one point they were under the same management. Old Monogram kits are also not all that bad, or at least I have seen far worse from MPM and Academy not to mention others. The Kinetic kit is better of course but also costs more than three times as much as this one and as I have said many times I can't afford for every kit to be over 60 Euro. I don't get paid enough for that. On top of that the Kinetic kit also has problems like the canopy, waisting, and the wheel bays are not very detailed
@gsr45353 ай бұрын
Agreed. Better to paint a big stripe than decals. Decals seldom work well if they are large and wrap around. Always trouble!
@midnightmodeling16393 ай бұрын
I love those old revell kits. Thanx for sharing, Chris.
@mullinscl3 ай бұрын
Yeah me too. I wish I could afford better sometimes though
@marcg16863 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing. The kit has a major issue. The windshield and canopy of the M2K are blown. The windshield and canopy of the kit do not reflect this. Also, the lower canopy line follows on rearward from the windshield. It's a complete mess. In reality the lower canopy line dips substantially from the windshield. To make this kit a halfway accurate model requires a lot of effort. It can be done though.
@mullinscl3 ай бұрын
So the shape if the cockpit frame around the canopy is wrong? I didn't see that really. I just like the aircraft and am not so familiar with the lines of it to be able to tell that it's wrong
@marcg16862 ай бұрын
@@mullinsclThe easiest way to get a result that vaguely resembles the actual windscreen and canopy would be to lightly sand the lower sides of the windscreen slightly inward and do the same with the fuselage where the windscreen is attached to. That would at least give the windscreen that blown look. I actually have this kit lying around somewhere. I think I might give it a go.

@@walterhammond290 No. I live in Germany. I got this from our hobby shop about 20 km from me. A lot of my kits though I get from Ebay. Often find people there getting rid if thier stash. Even found a Bishop that was water damaged but I threw the box and instructions away. The decals were in a bag so luck there. New instructions I downloaded from scalemates . Cost me like 15 bucks for a 70 dollar kit. When I lived in the states I would go to Michael's or Hobby Lobby though but my favorite place to get kits was ordering from Squadron
