Damn..I'm now in the same boat. After four months my wheels broke off. Dyson said they will replace it as a "one time exception", which is BS, as it is clearly a manufacturing defect. But worse..it is out of stock, so they can't send me one, and I have to go through the whole support process again to get one. I was thinking of just milling out the sides and gluing in a nut on the front side with epoxy.

You mentioned that the grease was funny - I think this maybe because you sprayed WD40 in - WD40 is a degreaser so I suspect not the best thing to have used... thanks for the video though!

I changed my breaks and I hear a creak when changing direction. Like a crackling when braking BUT only ONCE. Not sure why this could be. Pads are supposed to be for my car, could they be too short? I saw you can by new shims, maybe I should try that and reassemble?

I have the exact same set up. The issue I am having is at 3:15 time stamp . Everything is operating appropriately once it’s manually opened the latch even locks electronically when I push it it just won’t unlock…?? Any ideas? Once I crack it open manually I can use the key fob and it will open but it just doesn’t want to unlock and I am loosing my mind haha I haven’t been able to use the rear lift-gate in months and we have a 1 year old so his stroller has been sitting on the leather seats and I’m loosing my mind even more 😭 let me know if you have any ideas please and thank you .

How obout connecting duagnostic and tell car that there is new battery fitted. Alternator will give too much power and burn new battery if not reset…..

This is the only video I can find specifically about how to install the rubber "supporting ledge" at the bottom. Note that this also applies to the 1 Series cars (E82/E88 etc.) as well - and probably other BMWs too. One thing I have found is that installers of new windshields may use too much sealant at the bottom of the screen, which will prevent this supporting ledge from clamping onto the glass, so be careful with that if you are having a new screen installed (especially if you don't have the old supporting ledge still in place - ask me how I know :))
