Ordered my Mega65 some days ago. With some patience I'll be lucky by the end of oktober. Love the BF theme in background...

I guess we could possibly in addition to H65 support Gopher, WAP, teletext or even info. There are many hypertext formats less demanding than html. H65 is a quick way to get some impressive capabilities.

Very cool! Its always fun getting to build your own hardware and this doesn't look too hard to build. Does the MEGA65 analogue video port use the exactly the same video cables as the C64, which I think is a 8 pin din? Have you tested it now? Which disk drives does (or will) the disk port support?

Bad apple is on everything. Look up the history of it on KZfaq, and then go down the rabbit hole of games that inspired it. This is a fantastic port and it highlights the machine well. Love it. I think the mega65 team should seriously consider porting or writing one of these bullet hell games to include with each new purchase of machine.

And I thought State of the Art by Spaceballs was impressive back in the day. This seems to use a similar technique?
@alextrusty25859 ай бұрын
Here, afaik, two different techniques are used, the last of which is vector-drawing based, and the first one is similar to that one used in State of the Art.

@MD_il_microcanale11 ай бұрын
hi, it takes a really long time to receive it, I received it about 4 months ago, I also made a review on my youtube channel. Understand that it's really hard to please everyone who wants one. If you paid for it, it will come.
@3vi1J11 ай бұрын
New to kickstarters/specialist hardware? I've been there - waited 6 years for a Pandora... which would have been an awesome system 4 years earlier. Unless you've asked for your money back and not received it, you really shouldn't complain it's a scam - you should complain about the wait.
@gabor22211 ай бұрын
If it was a scam they would accept your money but the fact is that they are not asking money until the shipping date of the next batch is stated. Yes it is frustrating that FPGA chips are so hard to get for such small companies and this is creating a long waiting time but from the activity on the discord forum I wouldn't think that this is a scam. There are a few programs available for it and I don't think anyone would make huge efforts for writing software for a "scam" computer.
@MD_il_microcanale11 ай бұрын
hi all, I can assure you it's not a scam, I've been waiting for it for a couple of years. I have followed the course of the project since its first news on the web, many years ago. I am a friend (albeit only virtual) of Carlo Patore, the best known Commodore 65 collector in Italy and thanks to him I got my Mega65, since at the time I didn't have any type of electronic payment available. But he had to give up his M65 because they didn't ship more than one to the same person. Luckily he has a developer version and a pre-series of the M65. So don't worry and don't get discouraged, the Mega65 will come. If you're curious, as I said above in the comments, I made a video where I review it. If you want to see a real user who received his M65, here I am.

@@3vi1J Every other kickstarter I've done, I've already got what I paid for. That's because they weren't scams. Mega65 is a scam, just because there's a bunch of shills paid in child porn to defend it changes nothing.

Perhaps I missed it, but why use the 3D CAD to make the biard outline? This is usually done in the PCB design software. I'm just wondering if theres some advantage to it? Thanks.
@jim_64s8-bitprojects5 Жыл бұрын
As a former Mechanical engineer, I can’t get comfortable with the board edge tools in PCB a layout software. For me, I find it easier to draw in a mechanical CAD package and DXF the outline into the PCB software. Again, this is my workflow and probably not for everyone!
