This is a great story that can be applied to so many aspects of all of our lives and is a window in to what people are really like. You can never do enough, you can never give enough and before you know it whatever it is you're doing goes from being appreciated to something that's not only expected of you BUT DEMANDED FROM YOU AND GOD FORBID YOU CAN NO LONGER PRODUCE, NOW YOU'RE A USELESS POS!!!! Yeah, we've all been there and it's quite a eye-opening lesson about life and people and THIS is what makes empathetic people start to insulate themselves.......rightfully so. This is something I believe preyed on Elvis and so many other people as well😮

Only sociopaths benefit from drugs. Good people should never use drugs. Syd should have never used drugs. Now the sociopaths are laughing, mocking, and spitting on Syd for being a "quitter"

I watched this entire documentary, and I just can't leave alone the comments of Larry David Smith who wrote a book about Bruce. And I'll say this directly to him. Sir, I sincerely believe that your personal opinions about Bruce and his music are incredibly inaccurate! It's almost as if you are disagreeing with the messages that most people who follow Bruce understand as true. I'll go chronologically as per the documentary. Let's start quickly with the "4 Mindless Party Songs"? What? Then, "Independence Day", and no ambition?? Really? That's the questions your looking for the answers to in this song? In Mansion on the Hill, he is not sitting in a car in the woods staring down into someone's house, stalking a family because of jealousy, self-pity, or bitterness. He is admiring the very expensive and glamorous "Mansion" from a distance, reflecting on the fact that a common working man would only dream of acquiring such a house. In Atlantic City, he not looking for a cheap way of making money because he's lazy and a slacker, he's telling the story of a person who has worked his whole life, and still can't find any way to get ahead, with bills pilling up, and no other way to rectify his very desperate situation. You describe "Used Cars" literally!! My man, your starting to worry me that you can't see the irony in the song, and can't see the metaphor of a "Used Car" compared to hitting the lottery and never owning a used car again? Scarier yet, is that YOU ACTUALLY WROTE, AND GOT PUBLISHED A BOOK ABOUT BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN!!! But the kicker, and the point where I realized that you sir, are not a smart person, and furthermore, have absolutely no no business writing about about Bruce Springsteen, Superman, or the Lucky Charms guy!!! "These people never talk about getting an a job, an education, saving money, or doing anything industrious to get things". "They think the can go to a casino and win big, they can win the lottery, they can do a litle favor for a friend"?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Sir, youare truly talks out your ass, just to hear yourself speak. It's amazing to me that someone would actually use your babble on an actually 45 minute documentary, when you CLEARLY do not have a clue what you are talking about!! WOW!! Unbelievable!

Oh come on You Tube!! Or am I supposed to believe that ACDC is stopping this from using their recorded or studio recordings anyway (they do use some live music on this at least) music for it? Mind you most all of this is taken from the Documentary "ACDC the Brian Johnson years". Or maybe one even before that I'm not sure, they all start to become very cannibalistic after a while.

I started drumming at age four by the influence of my oldest brother Jeffrey. Ringo, was next then came the soul of Motown via my sister's Debbie and Jane. Dad turned me on to Buddy, Louie and the big band sound. Then Earth Wind and Fire blew me away. In 1977 my buddy from the neighborhood, Joe Porterfield called me up. We'd spend hours at each other's house listening to records. On this particular day he has a new album entitled, "A Farewell to Kings". That faithful day I became a Neil Peart disciple. 🥁 🤙

Thanks for making this video. It was so amazing to listen to people my age who play(ed) music I listen to and listened to the same music I did growing up. Being influenced by both my mom and dad and their musical tastes and being the youngest of four kids and being influenced by their tastes at a very early age. Growing up on the Westside of Los Angeles and born in '65 having young parents, mom had four kids between 19 and 25 years old, she a stay at home mom and closet hippie, dad was aerospace weapons executive but, behind the suit smoked pot and drank and occasional drugs but we lived a mile from the beach near Venice Beach and we had a 2nd house in the local mountains and there were sone rules dad laid out, we would have no tv up there. He would bring his stereo, really nice Girard turntable Marantz receiver Fischer speakers and we were allowed to bring any records we wanted, and he and mom had their records and all six of us would get to play whatever music we wanted for an hour. No one was alowwed to turn it off and you could make fun but not be mean. If you didn't like it you could go outside and enjoy the mountains. I was 9 or 10 at that time. Maybe 8. So I was exposed to big band, Nat King Cole, Frank, Ink Spots, Aretha, broadway musicals like My Fair Lady, Westside Story, and then Johnny Cash, Glen Cambell, Merle Haggard, Beatles, Janis, Elvis, Zeppelin, Bowie, Stones, Yes, Sabbath, Who, BadCo, Suoertramp, Steely Dan, Skynyrd, Eagles, Queen, and so much more. I was that little kid who my older siblings would have to let me hang out or they weren't allowed to go wherever they were going. My mom thinking that they couldn't do anything bad with their little brother around. Wrong. I was smoking weed and drinking beer at eleven and my sisters were both really pretty girls and their friends were hot, and always guys hanging around and most were musicians and surfers and those guys introduced me to some of the coolest music and taught me to be even more of a music snob through musicians not just good songs. Of course I went to school from Jr High and high school with 3 members of Suicidal Tendencies, and was into the punk scene from 9th grade on. The Sunset Strip was my stomping ground at night, and old Hollywood and any underground clubs and all the iconic LA venues, The Whiskey, Starwood, Gazzaris, Palladium, Madam Wongs, Club 88, Fleetwood, Palomino Club, The Country Club, The Mint, Coconut Teazer, Canter's back room, too many places throughout the LA area. Definitely spoiled when it came to music and going to shows. KXLU Loyola Marymount University radio station 88.9 FM was a huge influence for new music. The campus is in thr neighborhood I grew up in and I played baseball on their stadium for my 13-15 year old years of playing Babe Ruth League and I would go hang out in the radio station with the DJs and listen to what they were playing and request stuff and they would give me demo 7 inches from various bands, I still have those some are rare and worth some good money now. I've spent my life involved in music in different capacities.

Whether or not Epstein did The Beatles wrong, they loved and trusted him. That goes a long way with a manager and once he died, they admitted that they were at loose ends.

i am a little disappointed with some of the criticisms of the band with johnny singing lead. look at what brian jonhson said when he replaced bon scott in ac/dc after bon died. he said "i wasnt brought in to replace bon. i was brought in because bon was no longer there." i admit there wasnt a harder working band in the world than lynyrd skynyrd with ronnie running the band! they sounded awesome live and their music was pure perfection in the timing and sounded live as close to the album version as can be achieved. but, ronnie wasnt there anymore. tragedy should build you not destroy you. there are a lot of fans who were brought in by to the fold and buy all the albums old and new because of the remaining band members who kept going on. they all had ptsd and survivors guilt because of this, continuing helped them overcome this grief. alan collins even said as much in an interview when he asked "why did i survive and others didnt?"

ON THE PUNK THING when I was a teenager I went into the pub off licence and the person behind the counter asked me what bands to book. It was a pub on the national music circuit. I had seen the stranglers once and told them to re book them because they are going to be big. I saw them again and then the song peaches came out. There is some punk influence on black and blue.
